Take the struggle out of digital collaboration, and get your team hooked up with Droplr. Simply drag a file to the Droplr icon on your desktop or hit the short cut, and you'll automatically upload it to a remote server. Then, anyone on your team attached to your account will be able to access and work on the content. Filled with useful features to make teamwork more efficient, this app will pay for itself in productivity.

      …or get Dropbox for free.

It's not always the same. Dropbox's share mechanism is fairly basic, while Droplr can do multiple things and its functionalities are built around sharing stuff.

I have been using Droplr since 2011 and eventually stopped using it when they drop their free tier account in 2014 and switched to Cloudup. Now I'm seriously think of getting back to Droplr because of this good deal. By the way, I'm a paid Dropbox user since 2012.

yes but …RRP $1,800.00???? Does it come on an iMac 27' Retina?

        • @GregFiona:

It's just StackSocial's way to promote this deal. Droplr Pro account is normally 9.99 USD per month, so roughly 120 USD per year. 1800 USD essentially means 15 years. I don't actually think this service will last that long, but if this 20 USD lasts a year (which is highly likely), I'd call it a deal.

  • …and you'll automatically upload it to a remote server.

Who's remote server? & is there a limit to how much I can share?

  • +1

It says you can share with anyone???

Does the receiver of the file also have to have a droplr account?

What's the maximum size of files that can be shared?

Or can you email a link to anyone and a password to download a file to their pc or device?

Lots of unanswered questions and not clear on their website.

Welcome feedback thanks or more detailed information about how this works.

    • Man you read my mind. I'm tempted but those are the questions I have too!

    • Hi,

I had the same exact questions.

I did some hunting and can confirm that with the Pro account, only you can share the content. No one else can really add or change it. Sort of one way.

The good thing from what I could find is that there is no limit to the amount of data you can upload.

So, if you need to share files with anyone else (one way). This would be useful.
