SteelSeries Siberia X100 Xbox Headset $12 (+Shipping) at Kogan

140

Found this one after my last headphones/headset started cutting out in one ear. I found the price via a StaticIce search and it seems like it's the legit product and not just an adapter or replacement part. I was thinking of going a decent headset from Audio-Technica, Sennheiser or something in that range, but for $12 I've ordered a couple of pairs (one for backup?) and will see if they get delivered.

They retail for $89 at PC Case Gear and $99 at JB Hi Fi

Compared with other $12 headphones? Of course they're not going to be as good as other ones in the $200+ range, but for $12…

      • What about compared with $99 headphones seeing as you also said these sold for that much - does the added cost increase the sound quality for the same product?

  • $8 for each device postage, buy 3 and $24 postage.
    Still cheap I guess

  • Do you have to have the Xbox one headset adapter to use this?

    • The "In the Box" section indicates it comes with the Xbox One adapter. Looks like it has a default 3.5 mm jack.

      • Thanks mate, just did some more searching and found reviews confirming the adapter is included in the box.

Yeah. Reviews indicate the headphones provide a decent sound, but the mic comes off a little worse. Worst-case scenario for $12 you get a pair of headphones and an Xbox One headphone adapter.

        • @FistOfMonkey: yea as the mic hardly protrudes

@FistOfMonkey: Agreed, $20 delivered for me, worth a shot at replacing the headset I'm currently using. (The one that came with the xbox); and if it's horrible I'm sure the adapter can be flogged off on Gumtree for $10-$15.

Sweet, got 2 original controllers, so this is a cheap adapter + headset for my little bro to use. Cheers. Is $18 NZD delivered on the NZ site.

bought 2, cant be that bad for $20 each. will use for work and spare computer

  • Really bad quality, I have this one at home. But then again you get what you paid for…

    • Would be pretty pissed paying $99 for this at JB then..

  • Darn

  • Just got shipping confirmation so it looks like they at least had some in stock and it wasn't a complete mistake.

    These arrived today.

Havent had a chance to test the mic but the headset sounds pretty good so far.

    • The headset is fairly light. The mic seems to be ok on my PC and phone although on the Xbox some guys I was playing with the other day said it was a bit quiet, and that was with the mic mixer all the way up.

Mine arrived yesterday, great headset for the price. Includes game volume aswell as chat volume so now I can play at night with the TV volume off. Haven't had a chance really to test the mic yet as I've currently lost my voice… But anyway, thanks again OP; happy with this purchase.
