Homebrand ones are quite thin, I don't like them at all. Haven't tried the others but might pick some up for that price

We use the one upon a time or currash. My son has sensitive skin and hasn't reacted to these and I find them to be better quality than huggies or babylove wipes. Great price too! Although I think ww might need a lesson in fractions… "1/2 price now $1 save $2"

I still have once upon a time wipes from this deal sitting in my shed: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/146669

With two young kids, I go through a pack a week. They are great wipes and as good as anything else out there.

The wipes are still going strong, so I would recommend stocking up.

Just read the comments for that post and I am so upset I didn't become an ozbargainer sooner!

      • +1

YEah that was a good deal. I had like a pallet in my house full.

Funny thing, 2 years later and I've actually used them all.

      • +2

That was one of the best deals on OzBargain in terms of savings.

I ordered 30 odd boxes, cancelled order, but got my $99 credit from Woolies.

I ended up ordering ~30 boxes which I picked up. I gave some away to friends who had babies, now I'm on my last box :(

        • My kid isn't a baby anymore so I can't really justify buying them but sure miss having them. They were so useful.

        • @loftizle:

Most of mine were used for household cleaning.

When used on the kids, it was more for wiping hands before/after cleaning when not at home.

        • Perfect time to restock!

    • Missed out on that deal. Still feel bummed.

  • now i have a reason to justify my visit to woolies tonight

    These are great for landfill
Also contain nice fragrances and other chemicals that babies love

  • How do these compare to these:

    https://www.bigw.com.au/product/dymples-thick-soft-wipes-480…

We been getting for while now need to buy another box tomorrow but is the ww ones cheaper and have more?

    • Dymples wipes are not moist enough. Woolies ones are better.

    • I found BigW cheap wipes to be a bit rubbish. Target cheap wipes are about the same price ($9 / 480) and OK.

      • Have found bigw ones to be fine and well enough moist may try woolies ones as on offer not tried target ones.

  • Once upon wipes how much are the normally $3 or $4 as half price would make them $4?

    • Once upon a Time Baby Wipes 80pk Was $3

  • Could somebody please post country of origin for the wipes?

Thankyou.I got a few boxes of the coles explorer ones last week for $1 a packet. They are from u.s.a.I try to stay away from P.R.C wipes .

This is a great deal after buying some baby wipes

    https://www.woolworths.com.au/Shop/Search/Products?searchTer…

Buy for $1 save $14. Not sure of your chances for stock though

  • None at my local but I did pick up snugglers 40 pack for $6, suffice to say I bought 6. Think it was a today only deal though

  • Thanks for the post , got a few of the 480pk boxes for $6 at the 3rd store i tried.

  • Dang, I just bought a box on the weekend for $12 and that was already at a discount! I will go hunt down a few more on the weekend if there is any stock anywhere!

Have you tried online ? I am still able to purchase a maximum of 36 boxes at my local woolworths in country victoria.I also managed to buy Huggies soft skin wipes 56 in a packet for $1 by mistake .Ithink thats pretty cheap not too sure though.

      • +1

Unlikely to be stock in store though

      • +1

Local doesn't have stock of the once upon a time ones but we use the Huggies ones so stocked up on those! Thank you :)

        • +2

If you need more of the huggies wipes I would suggest buying online for click and collect. Even if they don't have the stock if you leave the option for them to substitute the product you will still get huggies wipes (potentially more given the pack was 56 and they don't have other packs of 56)

        • @lkp:
Oh! I did click n collect but didn't see the substitution option (maybe cos I did it from my phone). Fingers crossed I get them! Will definitely use the tip next time, thank you :)

        • @KupoHo: I think the substitution box is automatically ticked so you should be okay :)

        • +1

          @lkp:
Just picked up my order and you were right! They substituted the 56 wipe packs for the 80 wipes packs!!!! Winning! Would they ever actually sub "brand" names with "home brand" items if they were out of stock?

        • @KupoHo: wow you did very good! They swapped mine wipe for wipe (with a couple 100 more after they originally gave me less wipes) not packet for packet so you did very well!!!

I don't shop online much but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't do that. It really depends who you get picking the stock for you because they decide what to substitute it with. But they will just refund the item if they have nothing similar.

        • @KupoHo: Just wondering how many packs of the huggies 56pk you could order , no matter if i change the store for click & collect it says there is a limit of only 4 packs per order.

        • +1

          @Triple J:
I bought 10. I don't think there was a limit on the day I ordered but I checked yesterday and it was no longer available online but I checked just then n it is now limited to 4 :(

I don't think there's an advertised limit but as they probably dont have any stock of the $1 packs, they are minimising their loss when they are substituted. The packs I got substituted are currently 2 for $7! If you do find them in store, I don't think there would be a limit :)

        • @KupoHo:

Hi KupoHo, could you please let me know which store do the substitution for you? My order was cancelled with no explanation.

        • @lkp:

Hi lkp, may I know which store? My order got cancelled without any explanation =(

        • @YLC:
Oh no! I'm in WA, it was the Bennett springs store. They should send u an explanation email if ur order is cancelled. If you kick up a fuss cos they cancelled for no reason they sometimes offer you a $10 voucher…good luck!

        • @KupoHo:

Thanks KupoHo. That's ok, we can live without the wipes I guess…hoping for better luck next time!

  • Ah good times when a box of these was around $2. Lasted for a year or so :)

  • need a girl friend first

Whats the difference between baby wipes and normal disinfectant wipes

    • No chemicals/alcohol on baby wipes

  • Very good price, I am gonna go get some tomorrow.

  • Will definitely be stocking up!

  • Thank you so much, OP! The local Woolies didn't put on the special price tags. Almost missed this awesome deal.

  • bought 12 of the individual packs for $1 each.

  • Out of stock on the first day of sale at my local woolies.. such a shame 😔

  • Auburn and Chester Hill are cleaned out, I couldn't find any wipes. Bass Hill store said that they are empty have gotten a ton of calls about it and no, this is a clearance item so that's it. No more stock, good luck with the other stores.

  • I found 1 packet at my local woolies.

  • No stock anywhere from day one of sale- checked 5 local woolies. They have taken it off the online orders as well :(

    • +1

I can see them online. Maybe you just need to change the store for pick up and they will come back up as available?

  • Showing as unavailable through the link provided.

Asked at my local as there was none on the shelf. The Once Upon a Time brand has been replaced with Little Ones.

  • Still 20+ packs at Woolies inside Parra Westfield. Grabbed 5 packs this morning. There wasn't a discount ticket for the price tag which is why there is still some stock available!.

  • Is this a special or are they getting rid of brand name like homebrand as was in when posted and had only 6 packs of fragrance free ones so grabbed all but there was tons of the others.
Today i go and not one pack but some other brand.

    • As discussed, this is not a special, it is a clearance of old stock thus why every store has been completely cleaned out. The new stock is called little ones sold at $2/80 pack. You might get lucky if you live in the country or if they found some more stock from the warehouse.

      • Have you tried the Little Ones?

        • +1

Don't be silly, they haven't had a chance to go on half price yet :P
