Love my Fulcrums (both pairs) though!

Might get these for my bike I found in the council clean up.

  • Good price, strong training / commuting wheel.
However the 2017 wheels will be slightly wider, out soon…

Probikekit current 2016 model of these wheels, listed at $556.49 AUD, use the code itk10 at checkout and get 12% off, takes it down to $489.71 with free postage to Oz at checkout, in the top right of the page elect to pay in GBP and use your 28 degrees card to pay, comes out at 264.52 GBP, which converts (using xe.com) to $461.82 AUD. Probably a better deal for lighter wheels with better hubs is the Shimano Dura-Ace WH-9000 C24 TL Tubeless Wheelset using the code above they come down to about $888 AUD, if you elect to pay in GBP and pay with your 28 degrees card it comes down to around $817. Awesome set of climbing wheels, pair with a set of Schwalbe pro 1 tubeless and you could have some of the best climbing wheel setups available for under $1K

    • Great trick on the PBK. Annoyingly bought the Tacx Santori trainer from wiggle at $340 oover the weekend, compared with $280 at PBK. They don't have the vortex stocked anymre

Looking at getting a clincher set and use my old rear on the trainer? Any suggestions at the $500 mark? Also looking for another cassette to match my Ultegra groupset

If I was looking for a cassette for a trainer I would have a look at one of the facebook buy/swap/sell groups and haggle. I regularly look at bicycle market, cycling buy, swap & sell and buy/sell road cycling victoria. Occasionally see decent wheel deals there as well but buyer beware with 2nd hand wheels!! For around the $500 mark and I havent ridden all of these but from reports the contenders seem to be the Racing 3's or Campagnolo Zonda (apparently almost the same wheels made in the same factory, Fulcrum being a campagnolo brand), or the pro-lite Braccianos. I once bought a set of custom made wheels from greg at twe (two wheel enterprises) for around that money, maybe a little more. Greg's wheels are awesome, super tough and super strong and you can pretty much tell him who you are and what you want (weight, budget, type of riding you'll be doing etc) and he will build a custom set to order.

        • Thank you. something to consider. Even leaning towards a brand new bike all together.
keen for a new cassette and chain for the new wheel set…

        • Been considering getting wheels from greg @ TWE. How would you rate your wheels compared to larger brands?

        • @skimmermilk: How did you get $575?

          Price is $710 - 12% = 625 for me.

        • +1

Never mind. I forgot to do the currency part.

        • @calcium:

          Good price?

        • @skimmermilk:

I think so… but these things are so fluid.
So at this point in time, it is a good price.

But I hear the next version will have wider rims.
These are 20.8? Rumour is that the next version will be 23.
But I wouldnt wait. Who knows when that will be.

    • I've been looking for a bike to ride around my local park, aiming for 15km/day just to exercise. Any recommendations? Cheaper is preferrable, definitely not taking it to any mountains or any roads.
