Vodafone has double inclusions if you port your number to voda thanks to eddblix and battler
But you need to hurry and port your number to Voda BEFORE 17th July.           The $50 sim is definitely 'more' of a bargain. But there's no chance I'm going to use up 20GB of cellular data over 56 days. The $40 sim is more appropriate for my usage (and cheaper).

          Vodafone sims don't have a written expiry date on the pack. This double inclusion bonus ends on 17th July. So if you activate a $40 sim after that date, it will work, but you will not get the double inclusion bonus. You will instead get the normal inclusions for a $40 starter pack.

    Bonus has expired, no? Will simply double to 12GB rather than 20?
    Also, even if not expired are you sure it's not 6 + 6 + 4, rather than (6 + 4)*2?

      my calculation is if you activate $50 sim by the date it would be 7.5+1(bonus)+7.5=16GB

      when I activate $40 sim last month I received 12GB.
      The calculation with old plan is 4GB+4GB bonus +4GB(recharge as this offer)

        They do come. If not, buy one dim cutter in $1-2. You can call Vodafone to get replacement or head to store to do it immediately

      why do u wanna particularly use a bb sim? you can use these sim as bb sim per se. Your bb modem will use data as if it was a bb sim.

        Well, I always port between Voda/Optus/Boost/whatever for my phone, but also use multiple prepaid portable broadband wifi modems for faster/more date web surfing etc. That's why I would love to be able to get double for both phone as well as portable modems.

          I did not neg anyone on this post. I do understand what the rep said about sim being able to be activated for both phone as well as bb, usually the devil is in the details. I have not being able to do this with the sims pictured above in this post, even asking a live chat once ( might have been given wrong info or not tried correctly though, would not be the first time to make mistake ). On the other hand, the newer/other sim starter packs from Vodafone that have pictures on front with tablets as well as phone, ( and state that "this sim works in all phones/tablets/modems I have not had problems with activating both as phone or modem sim. Please advice how to activate the pictured packs in post for a bb modem.

      last time I tried to port a number to a Vodafone prepaid broadband SIM it never processed… have not tried again since.

      as per post below, you can use these SIMs in broadband modems.. although with one sim I have had Vodafone be grumpy with me for putting it in a modem (but that was an older prepaid plan)

    just purchased two sims. but had a second read of Voda's website it states: "All inclusions expire after 28 days or upon next recharge", so it didn't mention 56 days anywhere, could you confirm if it's still 28days or it's doubling to be 56days?

    Can these plans get any more complicated? You have to port a number over. You get some data before a certain time. Have to do it before 17th. Need to add up all bonuses.

      Yep, could be a little confusing for someone who is not used to the porting process. Although if you are only porting across from one phone sim from different carrier to Voda it's not too bad. Easy to do with a sim starter pack, just do it before the 17th to get this double offer. You can always port out of Voda to different carrier after the 58 days if you choose, or you can stay with Voda, up to you. Good part is you are flexible and free to go and take up other offers with prepaid ( no contract or commitments ). This process get's easier after a few ports :-)

    anyone knows if the extra inclusions is applicable to all Voda sims, regardless of where you purchased it? Last week I activated one that came with a Pocket wifi thingy and I got 8 gb bonus data…. which was fantastic!!!

    I get the impression that Voda is doing this quite often these days….

      Short answer is: where you purchase the sim from does not matter. But you must recharge or activate the sim by 17 July to get the double inclusions.

      $5/day roaming is only available on Vodafone postpaid plans. Go on a month to month postpaid plan before your trip to Japan and cancel it after you return
