Good Deal for HTC fans especially if you have registered your AMEX card for $50 credit on spending $350 which expires today.
Amex deal will get you the phone for $945 after the credit.

I was just thumbing through the specs and thinking exactly the same thing. Snapdragon 820 and 4GB ram is nice, but nothing seems to justify the price. What else am I missing?
The DAC and build quality. Regardless, the Oneplus Three is much better value at half the price with an extra 2GB of RAM.
Oh IC……I would get the OnePlus 3 in a heartbeat if it had a MicroSD slot.
Oneplus three has a average camera; esp. in low light. Not sure how the HTC 10 camera perform but these days you would only pay premium for camera quality and software update.
The global model of the Oneplus 3 doesn't support Telstra 4GX (700MHz) :(
i was thinking the same thing
for audiophile on a smartphine, worth every single bucks BUT for most of us, nah
If you just want a phone with a 24 bit DAC grab the HTC A9 or the Telstra Signaure Premium. $648.

Wow, this HTC seems to beat up Oneplus 3's ass easily for its high price point.?
No at all. But you get local warranty and required LTE band support.
/sarcasm !?
Hard to believe almost a thousand dollars for a phone is a deal today.
Would Harvey Norman do split payment across multiple cards?
I don't see why not, I've done so in the past.
Apparently HTC is only making one million of these handsets this year. Better get in quick as they will become extinct!
Probably because they will be working on the new Nexus phone, which will be similar to this
HTC phones are the type that after a week of use you understand how great they are. Still with Samsung upping it's game in design and quality it's hard to justify a $1000 HTC
I know people love to bash HTC, but after owning two Samsung Galaxy Ss (1 and 3) and three HTCs (One M7, One M8 and now the 10), I'm convinced that HTCs are far superior.
Samsungs are great if you have to have the <insert nonsense feature here>.
HTCs are great if you want a phone that doesn't need replacing after 12 months, and has even more value for money if you want a phone that still works after 2 years.
I was sad when my M7 died after three years - looks like a radio problem.
A poorly designed SIM adapter is what forced me to upgrade from the M7.
I couldn't get a firm price on repairs so got an M8 instead of fixing it.
The M8 was still working really well when I got the 10 but I just really wanted to have something new.
I've had every Galaxy from the S1 to the S5 and won't ever go back after owning a HTC 10.
Really?
Half smart-arse, half serious question:
Have you owned every Galaxy from S1 to S5 because they only last 12 months?
My S1 had that file system problem and was horrendously slow from around the 12 month mark.
My S3 had some chip problem that was common, and caused it to freeze randomly and frequently. Again at around the 12 month mark.
Edit:
Won't ever go back to Samsung after owning an HTC 10?
Or won't ever go back to HTC after owning an HTC 10?
Always had the latest due to work. Primary issues I had:
S3 - WiFI chip died
S5 - Water got under the glass somehow (phone was never submerged in water).
They've all lasted more than a year. Overall I just hate the bloatware and UI.
Won't ever go back to Samsung.
Thats a lot of money on what is a rather bland next next gen phone.
