  Is Penrite better than other oils? Cause they normally are priced higher than Shell or Castrol

    Depends which ones they all have vast ranges. Penrite does have some specialty oils and they are more readily available than other brands eg the oil used in shimamo hydraulic bike brakes $22 litre, shimamo oil $35 litre.

    Given the amount of oils all these companies make it is a pretty much a subjective question. However, I personally won't touch Castrol. I tend to stick to Nulon or Penrite

        Seen plenty of motors serviced running castrol build up a sludgey oil residue around the rockers

        For me, the no Castrol rule is an ethics question. They treat their regional distributors very very badly. I've worked for two different regional Castrol distributors who got the short end of the Castrol stick, huge losses, days in court, etc. As a matter of principle I won't touch Castrol products.

    Depends on the rrp over there. I've seen the exact same things that are priced higher at repco compared to sca.

  Thanks - great timing, I need some oil shortly :)
  I cant get to the shops tomorrow but found out I can pay now and collect from the SCA website to save 30% and collect next week :) Also noticed the same oil I need on the SCA Ebay store.
