  • Expires tonight.

    • Should be starting tommorow?

      • Thanks. Mixed it up with another phone….

          and wat did you get?

  • Great price, if still expensive you can buy a potato

  • It's in my NSW catalogue. Not sure whether it is worth the money, however. This matches the specs on a $60 Huawei I bought for my daughter 3.5years ago. And that phone was pretty slow then!

Don't like Kuta, do they have the Boost Ubud?

    • Not that I'm aware of at Woolies on sale.. Wasn't it the catalogue.

I know they sold out of the Boost Seminyak last year.

The Boost Kuta is the ZTE T230. Detailed specs are here -> http://www.ztemobiles.com.au/B792.htm.

    • Thanks, I've added it to the description.

      • It's not actually a T230, it's has ZTE B792 written on the back. ZTE seem to have either made a mistake with the photo, or they are selling numerous models and calling them the Kuta. I bought the Boost Kuta for my Dad today and it's completely different to the photos on the ZTE website. CPU-Z confirms the specs are similar though.

It's a very good phone for $19, and was much easier to set up than most other mobiles as it had no pre-installed crapware. Facebook and Twitter were pre-installed but not set to load at start-up, and could be fully uninstalled. Anything Google can be disabled via Apps. Has some of the best pre-installed ring-tones I've ever heard.

    • That looks to be a totally different phone (??)

  • Can this be used overseas?

    • yes provided
      1. you unlock the phone (check ebay - link below)
      2. mobile network of the country you are visiting supports one of the below network bands
      from the specifications - http://www.ztemobiles.com.au/B792.htm
      3G 850, 900, 2100 MHz
      GSM 900, 1800, 1900 MHz

  • Any cheap/free network unlock code provider?

  • on sale tomorrow in Victoria

Kuta, kuta, kuta, cooter, cooter, cooter …

512MB RAM means it's pretty much unuseable due to constantly running out of memory.

Feature phones work better at making calls and playing media from sd card and are a better buy for 20 bucks IME.

  • I'm not sure this Boost phone is the ZTE T230. They look to be 2 totally different phones.

  • The phone comes with a $10 pre paid sim, and it works with telstra sim cards.

  • Wonder if it would work with an Aldi SIM; possibly not. Would be a cheap spare phone.

    • worked with a telstra one.

Doesn't have LED status light. What a crap

    • +1

I'm amazed with all the limitations of this $19 phone, lack of an LED is the thing that bothers you!

      • I would only use it for calls and messaging. Can't imagine how you can call and message without LED.

It's only good as a toilet phone for watching youtube

  • I've tried 5 stores in Brisbane with no stock available in any and 2 of them stating they never received the phones.

Next call may be to the ACCC.

  • ooh.. it is too late, the deal has just gone…
