  • Just cuz im a little lazy - How many pc's/licenses do I get?

    • You will get 5 multi logins on any devices with this 2 years subscription

  • Do you allow torrents or provide proxies for torrents like some providers?

    • Film industry (copyright holders) & ISP's couldn't reach agreement on who pays to monitor and enforce the 3 strike policy so it was abandoned. No need to hide with vpn now

    • as far as I know, there is no shaping. I don't have the best internet connection (vividwireless, since NBN is….ah well, dont get me started on that one) but my usenet is decent and so are my kodi p2p streams (not in peak hours, but that will be vivid more than purevpn). Ive just started with torrents for streaming and pretty much the same.

    • They do have specific servers for p2p filesharing which you can see here https://support.purevpn.com/p2p-file-sharing

    WoW, A NAT firewall
it's a rip off, plenty of cheaper, more respected VPN's out there.
    e.g. torguard.net using TGLifetime50 is $us30/yr

    • Exactly this deal include Nat Firewall for your added online security

  • +1

You can get a way better deal on this via stacksocial. I think I paid around $80 for a 10 year subscription…if it is even around in 10 years.

    • yeah i got that too.

As far as purevpn goes, their new client on windows is pretty shit. Fortunately you can still download the old one on their site.

    • I am sure anyone can find great deals on stacksocial but those come with limited features and restrictions so I advice first to check the deal before getting it

      • I feel I should respond to this as I feel you are making a misleading assumption.

I'm not aware of any other products that PureVPN offer. I initially bought PureVPN directly and then found a stacksocial for exactly the same product at AU$80 for 10 years activated with PureVPN customer service directly. There is no difference in product from what I got from stacksocial vs from the vendor direct.

If your product is different from PureVPN's core product then please feel free to explain why you would want to spend $806.40 for the same 10 year period (figure excludes inflation and NPV over that 10yr period).

  • I purchased a two-year VPN with PureVPN with the understanding that they were working on a workaround for the (relatively) recent Netflix culling of VPN traffic. However, this problem has not been solved and does not appear to be solvable for the foreseeable future. Maybe other VPN services have been having the same trouble, but all I know from my experience is that this company has not been able to solve it. This is becoming less of a problem since I use Netflix mainly for the exclusive shows, but still disappointing.

From what I understand though, getting this deal rather than the annual deal allows you to pay extra to obtain a dedicated IP which is apparently good for doing what I described above.

    • I don't believe the dedicated IP will get around it. Netflix have blacklisted IP blocks.
The only VPN services I've seen get around Netflix is the ones whom have acquired IP address blocks from retail ISPs. Try a smart DNS service like uFlix, dns4me, Getflix they seem to be more agile.

Although I've given up for the moment as it appears my US & Canada Netflix traffic is being throttled making it almost unwatchable.

  • purchased a year subscription few month ago and works fine on Mac and PC (Win10)

  • There are much better deals in Ozbargain. If they want to post here, that's fine, but they should check their own deal against other ones and how they stack up
