The free to play period would have been long over by the time I finished downloading the game on my shit net. Good initiative though.

I should get 1-2 days of gameplay as long as I download it straight away and dont let anyone or anything else use my internet while it downloads….where is my NBN!

    • +1

Hahah, I downloaded this game in about 4 hours the other day. Gotta love the NBN.

Sorry. It'll come soon enough :)

      • it took me around 8hrs to download a 5 gig install just two days ago from the PS STORE.

I highly recommended giving H5 multiplayer a shot. I was skeptical at first as I rarely play games online these days (I prefer SP campaigns) but I gave Halo 5 a bash over the pre-E3 Xbox Live weekend and it blew me away. I originally intended to spend that weekend playing Halo 2 MP (nostalgia ftw) but I ended up playing H5 non-stop instead. It's really good and at least on par with the original Halo trilogy online IMHO. Jump in if you haven't yet.

  • Shame. With XB Live metered that would kill more than HALF my peak or off-peak quota (150/150). Great idea…..if you're not living in Australia on off-net (Telstra forced). Will have to do without.

Oh, this is the perfect opportunity for me to thank Mr Turnbull for such a bang up job on the NBN too :-(.

Have your say in this upcoming election in a few days time. :)

Yes, much better have Conroy spending the hidden tens of billions that he wasn't smart enough to be able to calculate.

  • Is only the multiplayer available to play? Or do I have a week to finish the single player campaign?

    • +2

It includes both the multiplayer component and full single player campaign. So you'll have a week to get through that if you choose to. From what I've read, the single player component is about 5 to 8 hours long depending on the difficulty.

        Awesome! Cheers.

You can do it in one sitting if you're prepared. It's about 6-7 hours or so on normal.

      • Agreed, I easily finished within that timeframe on Heroic…in retrospect I should have chosen Legendary to at least get some value out of it! :/

This should boost the online numbers. Plus, Xbox live should give us a preload period of say, 1-2 days prior to download.

  • +1

i finished the campaign on heroic in 6.30 hours that wasnt rushed at all , also the multiplayer is extrememly fun and addicting i love the new warzone

  • I wonder if we can earn achievements for it or will it be like a trial?

    • You can indeed.

Halo 5 has always been xbox one exclusive, the game isnt on xbox 360.

      • -3

Yes and if you're not into Halo but have a Live account you automatically know this because???

And I get 5 downvotes for asking for clarity in the deal. @#$% Ozbargain!!!

  • Am I missing something here? I can't find it?

    • +1

Yeah same here! I checked the xbox website and had a look at the store on the Xbone and Halo 5 is $49.95

  • Up Now. 87.5G - wow. Lucky iinet is unmetered for XBL.

Through the store on the console you can either 'install' or 'Buy a copy for 49.95'

  • How people play FPSes with game controllers is beyond me, but kudos to you if you can. :)

  • I finally started downloading this this morning, but my downloads are painfully slow. I am on a 100mbps connection, but its a good 15 hours later and im still at 70%. What on earth is going on?

  • For reasons unknown I got to finish single player this weekend. Good game. I didn't play multiplayer anymore so just uninstalled it.
