They would be even more useful if Microsoft allowed these to work directly with the Xbox One.
Even if they only allowed these to work on 360 backwards compatible titles only - to really make the experience a genuine one.

XBOne if you have inbuilt Bluetooth and USB ports are a premium. Otherwise the 360 is much better value.

Yes, it works in steam and a lot of games will recognize the controller too (no further setting up).

Just a heads up, that one isn't for Windows. I think you'd need an adapter for that one if you want to use it on PC.
Nah the wired 360 controller uses USB. When OP said they have a "different plug" it's that the "For windows" one has a black USB connector and the "for 360" one has a grey USB connector. I have one of each (360 and Windows) and there is no difference between them. They both work on the PC out of the box and they both work on the 360. The only difference is in some of the colouring. You can safely buy it and use it on your PC with no worries, in fact the only port available on the 360 is USB so it's not possible for it to be any other type of connector.
