Long time Ozb fan, first time poster. I bought this one yesterday for financial year end purchase.I thought some one may have already post this on OZB, as I believed this had big discount. But after a thorough search, I could't find any post related to this deal. I started questioning myself whether I got a good one. Double checked with historical deals and apple website, I am now very sure that I got $500 discount compared to apple store. For an Macbook product, this should be a good deal. What do you guys think?

Oh, didn't notice this…
4th ram is 2015 version, all 13"2016 MacBook air 8gb ram. I bought the old version mate.
yeah, I am thinking to change to a 2016 128gb one and expand HDD when I need it
Id go this http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/macbook-air… for pretty much same price ($60) with 8Gb ram eventhough less HDD space
Hi Thanks for your advice. Is it easier to expand HDD than RAM in the future?
Neither - Ram is soldered to the motherboard. You might be able to upgrade the storage in the future, but I'm not sure if there are third party parts for that.
It's basically "buy as much as you can afford" and hope for the best.
I'm guessing you'd want 8GB of RAM for the future, and just hope for the best regarding the Internal Storage (or invest in some USB 3.0 speedy portable drives).
Thanks for you sharing. I returned that one and bought the Macbook pro Retina with 256g hdd. I like this one so much

Am I missing something? I paid less for the very same specs laptop when I bought it directly from the Sydney Apple Store more than 2 years ago.
The aud went down
Yep paid like ~950 or something same time last year. But yeah rip AUD.
good price!
btw. i hate the 11 inch Mac Air, neg away all cheapskates who bought one and saved a measly 100 odd dollars .
lol
plus the battery life on 11 inch sucks hardyeah …. had a look at the 11" in store …… seems a bit small and expensive. 13" is nice though.
You don't choose the 11-inch because of price.
If you upgraded to 8GB RAM, it costs even more than the 13-inch!
Seems ok for the old model. New one is $1700

Nice, but note 4GB non-upgradeable RAM. Not that there's anything wrong with it.
