  • Would this work well? It doesn't seem to be amplified?

If you look close at the listing from ebay you will see the model is 102.

This is an improved model MD200. thx

      • And as the rep, I'm sure you can enlighten us as to how it is improved? Because it looks identical, the stats are identical, how are we to tell?

        • -1

The MD-200 is the latest model from manufacturer and the MD-200 tv antenna dimension a bit bigger than MD-102.

Lacks the merit to be considered a worthy bargain

i wonder if these types of Antenna really work indoors? A usb hd tv tuner device i brought came with a Digital HDTV TV Indoor Antenna but it doesnt work indoors. the setup instructions reccommeds that it be connected to an outdoor Antenna.

    • The amplified antennas you get at dick smith work for most people indoors. Even rabbit ears work indoors for some.

Personally though i'm looking for something better then the antenna I have, the only thing I know thats better is the special digital tv antenna for $70 or so at dick smith.

  • I find these 'digital' antennas to be a bit of a con.
Any antenna that receives the frequency range will work fine, it does not have to be 'digital'
I have always used the cheapest rabbit ears I could find for digital and they worked just fine.
Also in Sydney some digital channels are in the 170Mhz - 230Mhz range so not sure if this antenna will be useful.

  • Love it how the Daveauction/Ebay descriptions are identical (although the product is different :P ), right down to the Engrish "Suit for HD set-top box, DMB-TH, DVB-T ans so on". Ans so on? Do you mean AND so on?

    • Don't you mean…and then? lol

      • No "and then"!

  • Doesn't look like a decent antenna to me and the price looks too high. And it is so ugly…
In order to receive high quality digital signal with indoor antenna it has to be with an amplifier.
I've got CREST indoor antenna (with amplifier). It works great indoors, relatively small, well designed and looks great.
