        Good guys price matched it to $295 to some store i can't remember and goodguys had the $50 cash back amex offer which brought the price further down

    Seems to me like the router deals are always more popular than modem routers… Do people commonly use separate modems?

      Some types of nbn dont need modem so a router does the job

      custom firmwares don't work on Modem-Routers due to their setup and lack of drivers most of the time.

        In this case could the modem then be the bottleneck? I haven't got a clue what a good modem is these days.

          I have a fancy router but the modem i use is 5 years old. Im not sure if i could get better bandwidth if i also change the modem

    Any one have the nighthawk? hows the wifi signal , im current using asus ac-56u , the wifi signal is pretty bad and im only 10m away from it with walls and the 5g signal is even worse for some reason
