This is a great way to join RACV without having to pay any establishment fees. It's probably also worth keeping your RA with RACV because of the extra benefits and discounts that they offer. And besides, RACV is probably a safer bet too compared to Allianz, et al.

not really a deal they have offered this for years

A deal is a deal no matter how long it has been available.
As long as my post can help out those who may be unaware of such an offer, it's justified IMO.

      RAWM is right.

I think some guy posted a deal about local library membership and it was accepted as a deal. If you don't think it should be here you are better of reporting the deal so mods can review it otherwise you just end up as neg bait and JV won't get as many negs as he deserves.

How is it not a deal because its been offered for a long time? Do you prefer deals that are over before you have chance to buy them?

its not a deal though … they have offered it for years not all of a sudden made it free lol

After a certain amount of time, once every 12 months or so it can be reposted to let new users know or people previously ineligible and to remind people.

It's a good service especially for people in the age bracket that might need a hand.

        This exatly.
THe point of this site is to help people find a bargain. This may be a good deal for some and if you think it would be useful for people to know about it you vote plus. If people don't think it is useful it won't get any votes and never make it to the front page.

The point of voting negative is to flag an inherent problem with a deal. (e.g. faulty product, cheaper elsewhere.)

Thought I'd find one for Victorians.

Link provided in other deal to 16-20 Yr Olds. Free Roadside Assistance and Membership - Free2go [NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, WA] with link to this RACV deal. Doesn't seem to have changed in 2 years.

Would be best to combine all those states into original deal rather than a deal per state, as suggested in other deal.

Also a good Wiki entry as useful to many in that age group, with maybe a link from Birthday Deals Wiki.
