I've seen it often go in stock
It was only released a week and a half ago, I don't think the word "often" is really applicable.
Sorry by 'often' i meant it's in stock for around 0.5-2 hours every day or so.
(Not sure why your comment got negged, just pos'd)
If that's the case, I guess 'often' probably is appropriate. I am surprised they are getting stock in so frequently, though I confess, I haven't really been looking (waiting for the 1080Ti)
They had the EVGA ACX3.0 cooler cards on sale this morning on Newegg for $USD620+delivery ($AUD832) stock ran out pretty quick though. Probably best to wait for these to come back in stock.
Give me a shout when the GTX 1080 is ~$750 or when GTX 1070 is ~$580.
That's the performance improvement*second hand cost effective price to sell my GTX 980 to a friend.
Edit: looks like the 1070s will be $510-590 AUD or less + postage to import.
Opinions on the three EVGA 1080s they're selling? I'm going to start looking at reviews, but i'm curious as to what you lads are thinking too.
Looks like they're offering:
Stock clock EVGA
Slight OC EVGA
Founder's edition EVGA?I haven't had a good run with EVGAs I've purchased, but that's just anecdotal. I'd love to see some Asus>Gigabyte>MSI pricing (probably in that order of perceived quality).
Should be some more released in 2-3 days.
Problem there being that to buy from Amazon, you pretty much need to buy EVGA, entirely for their international warranty
@Rail Rider95: none of the others have international warranty?
@Lukian:
Some do, some do. Only EVGA have such a clearly defined international warranty though. I've heard gigabyte are the only others that might have anything close to as good
The non-SC version? Whenever I change country to AU, it disappears.

lol @ founders edition
lol@ $1k for a video card…
lol @ both of you.
In typical video card fashion it will plummet in price like a lead brick just like the Blazing Industries Super Turbo Max X999 Ace Couch Shooter Discoverers Version 10gig version did last week. Who's laughing?
true though. wait until other 1080s start coming out
I've seen it often go in stock at Amazon for around $960 delivered
