  • Seems to be out of stock at all of my approximately 20 local stores for pickup, and it's probably the same for a lot of folks; so it might be best to add the $66 shipping fee to the title as well.

Still a great price at $306 delivered! :)

Thanks for letting me know. I've updated the title to mention a postage cost.

      • Hmm, just added it to my cart on the Supercheap website, price is $300 with free delivery…so you can actually save six bucks by buying it direct…sneaky bastards, they've all gotta pull some dirty trick to get around the ebay discount codes!

No wonder we're all getting so cynical about the ebay sales. :/

    • Still available at heaps of stores in Brisbane, noticed Maxtraxs are also $240 with the code.

  • +1 for posting a 4wd deal.

  • Something dodgy about this. The ebay store says there is NO stock in both Mackay stores. The Supercheap website says there IS stock in both stores. It is still coming up as $625 for me on the Supercheap website

    • Ebay store says no stock for Whyalla when Supercheap website confirms stock in cart.

    • Its nothing malicious SuperCheap Auto just has a crappy computer inventory system. 3 Weeks ago I bought a car cover off the SuperCheap Auto website and tried to click and collect but it said no stock at my local store so got it posted from Melbourne/Altona. A week later I received the package in the post and for fun I decided to visit my local store. The nut sacks had 4 shelves full of car covers, at least 3 to 4 boxes of my item!

My guess is that the SuperCheap website doesn't account for all store stock and their eBay is even worse. In the old days DickSmith's eBay listings had a lot of similar complaints from OzBargainers.

      • I can't even buy anything through my local super cheap on eBay.
Apparently the store doesn't have any stock of any single item….at all..click and collect doesn't exist. The address of the store listed is the other side of town and the local BCF store.
Postage is ridiculously high, I've seen $60 plus postage costs for a socket set or I get this message
Seller doesn't send to the selected region/country. Please select or add a different address.
SCA having 20% eBay is impossible to take advantage of.
I have up writing and bringing it to their attention, still the same today.

  • are these any good? personal experience?

I haven't used this winch in anger yet. But I had a few issues installing it:
Out of the box it is designed to be bolted to the top of the bull bar. ie. orientated as pictured. My ARB bull bar has the slot for a winch. Which meant I had to rotate the clutch. (Undo 4 bolts, rotate clutch, replace 4 bolts).
The control box comes included with brackets which fit it to the top of the winch as pictured. Because I rotated the winch 90 degrees. The cables were too short to reach and you need to fashion yourself a mounting bracket for the control box as it doesn't fit standard (Warn) mounts.
It comes with a wire winching cable. You can argue that wire isn't as safe as dyneema rope. I replaced with dyneema rope and had to replace the roller cable guard with an aluminium one.
The wires were too short for my installation. So I had to fork out a fair bit of money for new cables (don't underestimate high amp cable costs).

Your results may vary. Depending on how your car and how you plan on mounting it. But I would say if you have an ARB bullbar it's a pain to install just because you need to engineer your own controller box mount.
