Looks like a good deal, big fan of Stanley. Can anyone vouch for this set? :)

    • Got my brother this set 3 years ago and it is a solid kit. I think it's time I get myself this so I can stop borrowing his.

So yes, I vouch for this set. :)

    • My old roommate got a similar kit. The quality is high and fit is great. I found myself using his kit even though I had a el cheapo Repco kit. The kit with the breaker bar is awesome (if that's on sale, which it always is).

    • I bought this set love it, use it all the time, one big negative; the little holders for the "55 x Assorted 1/4" Drive Specialty 25mm Driver Bits" fall out all the time :P

      • Man, more money i don't need to spend… The temptation!

Only $79.99 via their ebay page, and CLICK20 if that sways you?

    28 Assorted Allen Hex Keys

    55 x Assorted 1/4" Drive Specialty 25mm Driver Bits

so almost half of the set is worthless screwdriver bits and allen keys they throw in just to pad out the piece count to make it seem like its a worthwhile set? i still remember when stanley was actually a really good brand not jsut the same chinese shit you can get from a $2 store…

better than individual pieces of zip ties counting towards the 201.
pretty sure there has been other makers that do that.

    • I agree, although I am partial to hex keys as I keep losing them.

So what is the deal like if you count only 118 pieces then, for $99? It still says Stanley's "Lifetime warranty" on the box.

Add to that all those imperial size sockets, which in my personal experience are rarely needed. Just more clutter.

      • +1

while i do pretty much agree, imperial is still used in a lot (FAR too much) of things. go to bunnings and loads of different nuts and bolts will still be imperial even if its a metric thread. also the same could be said for 11,13,15,16mm etc sockets, metric headed bolts are 10,12,14,17mm etc. i wish they would make a decent quality "only the ones you need" set. i know you can just buy the sockets loose but then you dont get a case etc to keep them in.

        • Not everything is metric, and some things aren't imperial either. The "builders bolts" sold by Bunnings aren't metric nor imperial, I had to take one to Trade Tools to find out that they need a "Whitworth" socket (which TT sold to me).

    Good price.
Be careful if you order delivery.
The super cheap auto that delivered to me used FastWay couriers which are extremely horrible. They didnt even go to my house, i knew because they didnt leave a calling card.
I just got an email a few weeks after saying that my package is ready for collection.

Your lucky to have got Fastway. Couriers please can be even more challenging.

Good price and brand. Been using this since I bought it 2 years. I got this item for $70.00 a set from Supercheat Auto at Preston (VIC).
