  • Thanks OP, ordered 64gb microSD. Was going to swing by Officeworks over the weekend and pick one up for $30 but didn't have time.

  • awesome thanks a lot man, need a new SSD

Annoyingly half the voucher amount is to be spent in July and half in August. No refund will be given for unused balance. No minimum spend.

That's the dodgiest voucher I've ever seen. And can only be used on non-sale items.
      What the heck!?

  • Anyone know how long ShoppingExpress take to deliver? I was going to pick up the same Sandisk 240GB SSD this weekend from MSY, but if they can deliver it by Friday, I'll just do that since it's the same price.

    • Usually pretty quick on my experience, but if it is time critical I would prefer not to trust the AusPost/courier lottery.

  • Damn it!!!

Ordered this Sandisk 32GB OTG drive from eBay yesterday for $15.50.

Happy you could get that off your chest.

      But should we care?

  • Their surface Pros are a dollar off if you want a pre-voucher discount.

What's the difference between these two 64GB Ultras?

    http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/sandisk-ultra-64gb-mic…
    http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/sandisk-64gb-ultra-mic…

One has an RRP of $35, and the other has an RRP of $160. The $160 sounds like better value, unless it is BS.

Also they have 2 versions of 128GB:

    http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/sandisk-ultra-128gb-mi…

Now I'm not sure which one to buy.

The RRP $160 one uses SDXC technology where as the the $21.95 one uses SDHC technology.

"SDHC card’s speed capacity goes only up to 10MBps, the SDXC card has a maximum of 300 MBps."

But I thought SDHC was only supported up to 32GB? They both have XC printed on the card. I think the HC was a typo on the site's part.

        • Good point. I usually rely on the description as pictures aren't accurate 100% of the time. Thanks for the clarification.

Whats confusing me now is this video:

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7IL_tH5wx8

It compares class 10 with UHS-1

          http://www.integralmemory.com/faq/what-uhs-1

On the website and in the pictures the microsd cards have it labeled as class 10 and UHS-I
Can anyone explain what's the difference between the 2?

        • @Bacons: According to what I read a while ago from a post about memory card for mobile phones, the one with serial SDSQUNC is the newer version compare to the other one. Not sure how accurate the info is.

    • I can't see any difference between those 128s. One is $65 (RRP 89)(80MB/s) and the other is $62 (RRP 300)(30MB/s)(UHS-1 whatever that means) and Out of Stock. They appear identical but have different model numbers. I'm not an expert on sd cards and have no idea if theyre actually different.

I bought the $65, it better be as described. It's a bit of a bait and switch to list the cheaper Out Of Stock version in the title but still seems a good deal.

The first comment was posted 7 hours before yours who successfully ordered the 64gb micro sd. Not bait and switch, I think youre just slow :)

        • +1

Its the 128gb that was a bait and switch, not the 64gb. I saw the deal quite early (long before I posted the comment) and it was out of stock then.

  • needed a new ssd. thanks for the info!

  • I am refurbishing a laptop, what do you think people appreciate more in an i5, a 1tb HDD or a 240Gb Ssd (currently has 4Gb Ram which I may also upgrade)

    • +2

SSD. Improves speed and battery life. If you need more storage, get a DVD bay HDD converter or external HDD

      • Yeah that definitely been my opinion for a long time, do you think that the general public have the same attitude? Or do most people still have no idea what an SSD is?

  • Does anyone know if the SSD Plus 240GB or 480GB will go with a MacBook Pro 13" early 2011? And if so, is 240GB of SSD space pretty equivalent to 240GB of HDD space? Or is 240GB relatively low? Want to be able to store everything on the laptop rather than have to carry around external disk if possible.

    • i think it's equivalent

  • Have to say I was excited about the vouchers….until I read the T&C's

It's almost as bad as Good Guys. Buy first then we will give you the voucher.

So you want me to wait 2 months to spend 2x 1/2 of my vouchers…just give me the voucher and I will use it straight away otherwise you won't get any of my cash SE

    • I was excited but not so much so now I've received $120 in vouchers when I should have received $500

  • Damn missed out on the free shipping by a day!

  • Guys

I would check your vouchers closely

I spent over $2500 but only received vouchers for a spend of between $900 and $1799.

I assume this is an honest mistake by SE, but doesn't inspire confidence.
