I was looking for an entry espresso machine back in February, it was a choice between this or the Breville BES250, both are very similar in feature and were on sale for around $190. The Sunbeam comes with 2 stainless steel cups and saucers, and stainless steel filter holder. The Breville does not come with cups or saucers, and it has alloy filter holder. Bought the Breville because it has higher cup clearance.

  • Not bad. I bought one today, cash price $145. Just made a cappucino, definitely good for the price and 100x better than instant coffee. They had a nespresso sample unit as well, and the coffee from this machine is comparable to that. +1 from me, especially for $145.

    • How does this machine compare to other machines of similar price?

      • This one has all metal parts, which should mean it lasts longer. You are taking a gamble buying any cheap machine (actually even the more expensive ones are not that reliable), they have a tendency to fail, sometimes months after the end of their warranty period.

If you do buy it, make sure you either buy a grinder or take the effort and buy fresh coffee. 50% of aroma is lost after 5 minutes of grinding. Roasted coffee will last three months.
