      Starts Saturday for 24 hrs

      • Pretty much a dupe plus you've also quoted the price wrong for Quest bars.

  • I'll jump on this tomorrow. Them gains.

  • I wonder if Quest staff get discounts. I would be SO fat.

Does literally every person use protein powder? At my work some males and females use it constantly. Is it really necessary?

A good healthy meal is always better. Whey is more like a supplement to help with your body recovery post workout but it doesn't replace an actual meal.

I have protein at home but only take a scoop or 2 if i'm anticipating a delay in my usual post workout meal.

A lot of people, especially females, take protein for weight loss. Low carb protein bars and some protein powders can be quite filling (im guessing due to the fillers that they use) & can suppress your appetite for a few hours.

      • I used to take this one and wondered. Why do I need this? They didn't use this stuff 200 years ago.

        • They didn't shower or brush their teeth 200 years ago either. Will you be giving up these too?

        • @nexus4:

Duh there will obviously be exceptions but my point remains.

Are children supposed to eat protein powders?
Serious question. I am just wondering.

          @Beethoven:

As long as they don't exceed the recommend daily protein intake. Children's Kidneys are sensitive so i would be careful.

Fully developed kidneys can tolerate protein excretion better

        • @easternculture:

How much protein do you eat per day?
I eat maybe 120g on max 1200 calories.

        • @Beethoven:

          Are you male or female?

Either way 1.2k calories seems like a deficit. Especially for men.

        • @astarman:

          Female

And don't suggest a higher calorie intake. You're wasting your typing.

        • @Beethoven:

It depends on what your goals are. If its muscle building, it should be 1.5gram of protein per kg (your body weight)

          @Beethoven:

          1201?

      • I must admit, I did a great diet last year
        - one scoop of the powder below, spinach and avocado. 3 x per day. Quick weight loss and quite a good mix of macronutrients.

If you work out, want to build muscle, and don't get protein from other sources, yes. If not, probably not.

  • It will be interesting to see if they mark everything on their website down by a further 20% seeing as it isn't a coupon code deal that just takes 20% off their current listed prices.

They mark their Quest bars as being $34.95 down from RRP of $55.95, so if it's 20% off everything they might not lower the price further as it's already below 20% off.

I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

If you go into an individual item, they have already listed the price with 20% discount.

The box of Quest Bars are listed as $31.96

    • thanks, just ordered my Whey :)

    • Good price on the ON whey, shame they didn't drop the Quest Bars further :(

  • Shame about the quest bars I was going to mass order.
