Yeah, this really doesn't need to be mentioned every time.

Costco has been around long enough that people know it's membership only

      • You assume people are smart

        • If they don't know, they'll figure it out

  • I hear on the grapevine that Newcastle is getting a Costco quite soon…I'll happily pony up the membership money then! :)

P.S. Yes, I am acutely aware that this is a cool story, bro! ;)

Bought from Costco Canberra, first was 1 dead pixel, second one is fine. The picture quality is comparable with top brands. It's awesome for the price.

  • Don't forget Costco's "Lifetime Warranty*".

  • I am sorely tempted by this

This TV is on Android 4.2.2 and you can sideload apps using ADB without rooting.

Im using the following apps on my TV:

    Netflix 2.4.1 HD (xda)
    Hulu 2.24
Kodi 16.1 (watchable up to 720p)
    BubbleUPnP (for smb access)
MX Player Pro (for local/smb player)
    ES File Explorer Pro
    Firefox
    Opera
    Pandora
    Play Music
    Spotify
    TuneIn Radio Pro
    Play Store (included on TV)
    WiFi File Explorer
    CCleaner
    Adobe Flash Player
    Ez PDF Reader Pro
    Getflix
    Speedtest
    McAfee Security

Teamviewer Host works but only to view/uninstall apps and couldn't remote control Android
Also, Kingroot couldn't root this TV.

No official Netflix support on this TV as newer version 3+ Netflix apps only plays audio. However you can search XDA and search for the version I installed on my TV. Make sure to change the audio source in app to ENGLIGH to hear audio. You can purchase roku/chromecast/apple tv/smart streaming devices around $50-$250 and it will still be cheaper than major TV brands with Netflix support.

  • Same price at Ringwood Costo, just picked it up.
    Thanks OP!

  • Docklands still have them for $699.Thinking about buying. Any comments from people who already bought one?
