Nice find, I went last year Sydney to Christchurch for about $200 return inc. all taxes, with checked baggage.
The taxes for Sydney airport are horrible. $110NZD for Sydney compared to $56NZD Auckland. Not the airlines fault though.
Exchange rate now is good also, 1 AUD = 1.29 NZD
