Canon Pixma MG5660 $69 (RRP $129) @ JB Hi-Fi (Plus 2x Free Movie Tickets)

120

Needed to get a new printer for the house and had a look at the JB site and found the MG5660 for $69 which was weird since the model below was the same price. Went into the store and it had a price tag of $129, once the guy scanned it, it came through as $69 however.

Pretty decent deal, especially since you get 2x free movie tickets with the printer as a promo at the moment!

How come the site is showing me the price as $69 and not $59? OP, are you sure it's $59?

    • Was just about to complain. You beat me to it.

    • Sorry, fixed!

    Link says $69?

  • Question - why would you get this when colour laser printers are so cheap now?
Have things changed, or is toner still way cheaper per page than ink, and does not smudge?

Yes, photos are better, but still poor quality compared to cheap prints at the local HN/OW/Kmart/etc.

    • Despite what everyone thinks, ink is generally cheaper per page than toner unless you are getting a top of the line laser. The officeworks website lists how many pages and the cost per page on the inks and toners. Its worth checking before you buy. Plus at JB you can get 25% off ink if you buy it with the printer too.

  • Which cinemas are the free tickets for?
    I can't find any reference to this…

  • Thanks OP, picked one up from Rouse Hill who still have 5 left

You should probably mention that the movie tickets are only valid in NSW.

    • No. Nationwide.

      • My bad, probably should have clicked on the tabs before commenting.

  • Got further 5% off the printer and ink(which was already reduced by 25% wth the by printer with ink deal) with today's deal. Nice find
