Where's the shop? I'm using a Toshiba NB200 with 1gb ram. Does it work with this?
shop is at mt Waverley.
it is no problem with Toshiba NB200.
Thanks. How about delivery?
put a quantity in and, add to cart on the website.
a shipping calculator will appear regardless of if your got an account with them.
Since i do not know hte postcode for other states. all i can say is shipping to WA 6150 is 19.95
which is still a bargain since cheapest you find is around $64
19.95+ 39 = 58.95
Excuse my ignorance… will this work in a netbook that is meant to take DDR2-667 SODIMM? I'm assuming 'Yes' - but it'll work at the speed preset in the system?
Yes, and yes.
Thx!
Not just that, but if you use the DDR2-800, you can overclock your netbook :)
"DDR2-800" is meant "the data tranfer speed is 800 Mbps"
"DDR2-600" "……………………………..600….."
Have had good/friendly service when I've visited the shop previously too.
can i mix ddr2 and ddr3 ?
may be not
nah
Apparently Elixir is the budget brand of a "major manufacturer" called Nanya.
Forum here indicates that it is suitable for most purposes, except overclocking.

postage is $10 for Melbourne
BUDGET-IN-MIND
Free SHipping.
$10 to NSW. That means it's around $50 all together. Not very cheap I guess as I remembered shops offering around that price for a 2gb ram. Unless you can give us a speacial code for free delivery. I will definitely get it then.
Surcharges:
"There is no surcharge for Cash/EFTPOS/Direct Deposit payments."
"…2% surcharge for VISA/Mastercard, and 4% for Diners/AMEX…"
— PayPal is accepted, and has no surcharge, so the CC surcharge can be circumvented.
Delivery:
"The status of all your current delivery can be tracked at www.fastway.com.au."
"Approximate freight charges are as follows:* Under 5kg - $10; * 5-15kg (e.g. printer) - $18; * Over 15kg (e.g. system) - $30."
— hmm except, as bakaneko points out, there is a shipping calculator (which is nice), and it differs markedly from the shipping guide in the terms and conditions.
Company details: ABR entry + ASIC entry
Free delivery to Melbourne metropolitan area, minimum $150 order.

I've just ordered mine. Ship to Sydney or Wollongong is $5.50. I also ordered another 1G DDR1 RAM (not cheap but wanted it anyway)and there was no extra cost to the shipping. There is 3% surcharge via Paypal and 2% credit card or direct debit has no surcharge. Warning: their website has an expired certificate.
Will let you know how it goes and how long it takes.
EDIT. Ordered 28/4/10. Arrived 6/5/10 via registered post.
Does anyone know if you can use this in Macbooks? Current ram requirement is DDR2 PC5300 667MHz. This ram seems to be up-spec'd, but will it work? I'm hoping to take one of my 2x 1GB sticks and upgrade it to the 2GB Elixir for a total of 3GB ram.
That is dirt cheap for 2GB notebook ram, anyone checked how much MSY selling for?

good prices for DDR3 too i can see that…
