  • D3300 Body Only?

    • No body only. Just the 15-55mm SLK which is $379.30 after $50 cash back. Not great considering it was over $100 less last time.

    Also

Purchase any of the below D610, D750, D810, D5 or Df, between 1st May – 31st July 2016 from an Authorised Australian Nikon Reseller, and redeem a NIKKOR AF-S 50mm f/1.8G lens as your bonus – strictly for students of photography and media*.

    Full T&Cs for this here

    The 50 1.8G is $300(?)

    • nice!

currently $209.60 which is ever so slightly more expensive than grey.

    • Strictly for photography and media students only? That sucks. :/

      • I think in the claim page it only asks for a copy of your student ID, so not sure how strict they are on that

        • yeah, I noticed. Maybe they'll contact the school/university to confirm that the student ID provided are actually enrolled in one, that's why they asked for the ID?

  • The lens is pick up only.

    • yes as noted in the OP.

      • Missed it, sorry about that.

        • no worries. gotta be quick as there doesn't seem to be many stores with stock.

That is a great price on what is an excellent lens.

Thanks OP, I was looking at buying a D7200 as a grey import just this morning but this works out cheaper for genuine AU stock! It's worth mentioning the 18-140mm lens often packaged with this camera is also eligible for the 20% off so works out at $1302 for the set. No stock at my local store so splashing out the $16 in shipping seems like a fair play.

    • no worries :)

yeah that au stock lens is not bad for $343.20 for just a few more dollars than grey.

pity you couldn't combine postage though

  • It would have been even a sweeter deal if the lens were included in the new Nikon Cashback list.

    • yeah… the last xmas cash back was amazing!

Yup! I bought the 50mm f1.8G back then for my D3300. I received the cashback for both purchases but wished that I bought the 35mm lens instead, or both lenses. The 50mm isn't practical indoors that much.

Yeah I hardly use my nifty fifty for my Canon 700D. It's too much zoom. Great for portraits though.

        • @CVonC: For portraits, absolutely. It's just that I am lazy and hardly take my cameras outdoors. :)

  • Still have a $150 bing Lee voucher from.the last deal, wish I could spend it on bing Lee eBay! That 35mm lens is just what I need!

  • Would the d5500 still have the $50 cash back if bought from bing lee?

    • Yeah it should.

    • Yeah it's odd it lists a number of specific lenses then says "or Nikon DSLRs" , presumably meaning any DSLR is eligible for some sort of cashback?
The D5500 is specifically listed as getting a $50 cashback and the D610 as being $200 but what about the D7200 ? It falls in the middle, does that mean I get $100 back ? haha
Sadly it appears the D7200 is missing from the dropdown box when you go to claim it so I guess you can't claim anything back on that… :(

correct. Only the D3300/D5500/D610 are eligible —> https://mynikonlife.com.au/cash-back/

  • Update: D7200 is now $940!

Bing lee up to their old tricks again. I noticed the d610 went out of stock temporarily, so i chatted to them on their online chat where they said their is a system error and actually they have no stock, for ebay or online. I said that seems very strange that during a ebay sale you have no stock when ebay says there is 7. Their reply was that is out of our control.

    Seems very dodgy behaviour.

They have now removed the listing but still in stock on their site
