This'd probably be due to Masters doing their 60L bags of black mulch for "3 for $20" in their latest catalogue.
Masters = $0.1111 per L / Bunnings = $0.1108 per L … Bunnings ever so slightly cheaper, but you don't need to buy 180L to get the deal.

You can get this stuff at landscape supply stores by the tonne much cheaper.
