        I don't think so. They do authorisations to the credit card ($1) and last time I heard they check on the mobile phone device and can easily cancel your free ride right after you've gotten into the vehicle if they find out the phone has been reused for a number of times.

        As I indicated above they CHECK your phone number (you can't use the app without verification anyway). I don't believe they check if your CC has been used multiple times. They may authorise it to ensure it's a valid card but it doesn't mean they necessarily reconcile it across multiple accounts. They've never done that for me. In any case it's very easy to know. You just setup an account with a new phone/email but use an old card and see if you can register and apply the coupon. You'll know before you catch an uber.

  It worked! Got a free ride in a brand new Mazda Cx-5 was great.

  Though the driver was a PC gamer so being a console player we didn't get on :(
