Any discount if I enroll in all the courses

    • All? Maybe just do one or two at a time? Don't want to overload you.

      • +3

I don't get overloaded. If I can post 6-10 post while on my job. I'm sure I can do that easily.

        • You get 12 months from the time of payment right? So if you paid for 3 courses, you need to complete all 3 courses within 12 months?

        • +1

Alright then? Very unusual, but if that's what you wish, I'll knock off 10% of the total fee. And each course gives you 12 months. So if you do two, that's 24 months etc.

  • Are these courses covered under Vet-Fee help?

    • Afraid not. TAFE sits around 4-5k per Diploma, that's probably your best bet? ( with VET FEE HELP )Private RTO's sit around 10k with the student loans system.

      • Don't think so.. It's around 3000 for the whs diploma.

        • +20% loading fee, wasn't too far off the mark.

  • OP, do you offer the advanced diploma in disability studies ( not too sure what it's called nowadays)?

    Thanks,
    Wiki

Afraid not. CHC60112 Advanced Diploma of Disability is the one you are after.

      • Cheers

  • there is much cheaper options out there FYI

I'd be going to Tafe it's cheaper and doing it by correspondence that way.

    • How? TAFE's on average are 5k.

        • +14

          Actually, you missed the if.

Only if you pay upfront. Quite different if you don't. Couple of key differences.
      We have
      - Weekly webinars with the trainer.
      - Online pre recorded lectures
      - Can print out all the materials
      - Can complete the course from anywhere

Now we're not the cheapest with everyone but,
      Logisitics, $3995
      http://landing.collegeforadultlearning.edu.au/diploma-of-log…

      Accounting $2100
      http://www.monarch.edu.au/courses/accounting-bookkeeping/dip…

On the whole, with the service and the price, the offer sits pretty well in the market place.

Different provider different quality. I have no idea about both of those provider but different education institution have different education quality and different prices, im not saying here that any one of the above is better than anyone else.

    Dale,
How long are these great deals valid for?

    • It says 30th June.

      • Indeed, 30th of June. We can set start dates to whenever you wish.

    nearly sent the boss broke

Not sure I believe this bit. But prices seem good.

    • I wanted to spend more money on UI/UX for our Learning Management System, better materials and resources. Had to put the prices up to make that happen :(

  • +1

Hmm.. very interested in the dip of Pm.
Anybody know where I could find any reviews?
Got no idea how good the content/course is.

    • flick me an email to [email protected]

Only reviews I have is on Facebook. I can just give you guest access to the course if you wish? Make a judgement for yourself?

    $599 BSB51415 http://www.firstchoicetraining.com.au/diploma-of-project-man…

I'd be curious what benefits are offered for the ~$1000 extra.

    • Couple of things I suppose? Though you could argue we're playing around the edges here compared to TAFE's - 4k, and Vet Fee Help, average 10k+, but I digress.

      1. We own our own materials. They are actually pretty neat, and designed for people working. Written by industry experts. You've gotta remember, if a 100 students do the course, but the course is so hard to do only 5% complete, then does it really cost $500?
      2. Weekly webinars with the trainer, Peter Rivers. Great bloke, lives over in Perth, and is always there to help via phone and email.
      3. Completion rate 55%, industry average 7%, and we're constantly working to make that higher.
      • I did notice that at some places (Uni, Tafe) the prices are 10x higher.
I also noticed the lack of webinars (either live or recorded) … but for $1000.

Is completion rate related to the course or the individual?
I would have assumed that with learning like this it's more up to the motivation and skill of the individual rather than the course or institution?

        • Completion rate is across all our courses. So at the moment, say we have 100 students, 55 have completed within the allowable time frame. Doesn't mean they wont, we tend to just extend the rest?

It's a fair assumption that it is up to the motivation and skill of the individual. But if we give all the information, tools, support we possibly can ( other than driving around to their house and smacking them over the head and telling them to do some work, lazy sods ) hopefully that means people are more likely to complete. I want our RTO to become known for quality materials, great support, and good outcomes. VET sector has gone too far in treating students like commodities.

    • Approx ~$1000 cheaper here too

      $499 BSB51915 http://www.advantagetraining.com.au/diploma-of-leadership-an…
      $499 BSB51315 http://www.advantagetraining.com.au/diploma-in-work-health-a…

While there may be some differences in what is offered, if there are multiple vendors offering the same result for significantly lower prices, I'm not sure this deal qualifies as a bargain at all.

  • do us a better price and we will definitely sign up:)

    • +1

bring back the old prices :)
