    Yes, it is still expensive because it is better software compare to others. But if you can find cheaper than $187 for 3 yrs 3 pc avira premium security suite, please share it with us.

  Doesn't seem like much of a bargain to me.

  I'd rather use the Avira Antivir personal, does the job perfectly fine, and totally free. I've tried the premium & the free one btw

  It's incredibly expensive considering that Microsoft Windows Defender and Comodo are free. Both of these products provide excellent security. Comodo is available with a live 24 x 7 support option (to help with cleaning viruses etc) which only costs US$49 (you can get one-time support for US$19), so why pay $220?

  Avira's only bargain is that it has a free version.
  Eset Nod32 has been the leading virus scanner for years and is likely cheaper.

    Untrue on both claims. This isn't a bargain, but Avira outranks NOD32 in scan times, boot times and detection rates. Avira stands unopposed in detection rates, granted it does have false positives and they address it aggressively.

    Avira antivirus alone is cheaper than ESET's antivirus. Security Suites never perform optimally and generally use more resources. I found it best to have Avira with Comodo Firewall. You get the industry's best antivirus with the industry's leading firewall app.

  OP, if you posted the 1 year Avira Premium antivirus deal, this wouldn't have gotten such negative feedback. Committing 3 years to Avira or any security app isn't ideal as slowmo pointed out. Avira is leading now. Who's to say where Avira will be in a year's time.

  For anyone who's interested: The coupon applies to Avira Premium antivirus for 1PC or 1 Year.

  So instead of being almost 30 for 1 year for 1 PC, you pay 24. I was looking to buy this, so thanks to the OP for saving me 6 bucks.
