  He's my understanding:
  There are two concurrent 15% bonus offers for May. Plus an additional 5% bonus for people who have set up auto redemption. = 35% bonus.

  This little nugget in the auto redemption Ts and Cs

  The number of ANZ Reward Points redeemed must be in multiples of 2 – you can therefore redeem 3,000, 3,002, 3,004 etc ANZ Reward Points.

  LOL, so random, but that about sums up the competence of the ANZ systems for me. I'm happy to take their bonus points on the new card offers, but I could never use one of their credit cards long term. Such a mess.

  I strongly suggest did a small amount transfer first.

  2 may I transfer from anz 5000 anz rewards, point hit velocity yesterday. Only received 2500 velocity + 375 bonus velocity ( 2016 May 15% ANZ Rewards Bonus ). So this bonus im not sure its from anz or velocity promotion. Technically another 375 should be post.

    I was wondering the same thing… I can see 15% Bonus but not sure which bonus this is or if I am getting another 15%.

The number of ANZ Reward Points redeemed must be in multiples of 2 – you can therefore redeem 8, 10, 12 etc ANZ Reward Points.   Confusing. I have signed up for auto redemption. I have over 200,000 anzreward points. I suppose that will mean 35,000 bonus point. That is good value.

  So just did the math (correct me if I'm wrong) to get a $100 Woolworths Gift Card:

  • ANZ Rewards is 22,225 points
  • Velocity normally is 18,000 points. With the 35% bonus, you would need 13,334 points transferred + 35% bonus of 4666.90 to equal 18,000.90 points.
  • At a rate of 2 to 1 via ANZ that equals 26,668 ANZ points (13,334 * 2).

  So for redeeming gift cards, you are better off just doing it through ANZ. I suppose the bonus is only good for flights.
