The VIP points equivalent discount isn't exactly 5%. It's actually 4.76%.
Earn 1 VIP Point for every $1.5 you spend online or at the LEGO® Store. Once you reach 100 VIP Points, you will receive a $7.5 reward!
That means for $150 spend, you get 100 points ie. $7.5 in credit (or equivalent 5% credit).
BUT you do not earn any points when you use the credit. So when you buy 20 sets of the same price, you have enough credit to buy an additional set of the same price. Eg. If each set is $100, you buy 20, you spend $2000, you get 1 free from the credit, then the average price is $2000/21 = $95.23, therefore the equivalent discount is 4.76%.

Yep. LEGO site is more for sets like UCS which are no longer in Australian stores( well none that I can find haha).
