  Pretty standard pricing for this sort of computer.

  Here's a virtually identical model (an L500) but with a marginally slower CPU (higher MHz, lower cache) for $633.

  yesterday's COTD of acer is much better (value for money) with $549

    easy to say that when you bought it ;) personlly i would be happy to pay the extra 100 hundred to not have an acer. just my opinion though no offense intended :)

          @Mikinoz: outof topic, but actually im bit regret after buying that acer from COTD, i just realise (after emailed them) that the warranty is by COTD not by ACER. is this normal practice when people buy laptop from a website (online shop) ??
          so if COTD went down then the warranty isnot valid anymore?

            @CyberMurning: No, it is not normal for online stores to do this on normal stock.

            Could be for several reasons

            1. Not Australian stock
            2. They have been sourced from a none-authorised reseller, as warranty on Acer is non-transferable.
            3. Has been sold to COTD "as is" and has no official warranty.
            4. Some other reason :p

            I guess only COTD know, and I doubt they would tell you.
