  • 60ml is not enough for the tabasco addict

isnt 150ml like $6 from colesworth?

    • Or a 2 litre tub at Costco….

The 60ml ones ARE for the tabasco addict - these are known as the purse/handbag size ones.
So you would always have some no matter where you go.

      • you can either use it as food, as as a pepper spray when you feel threatened.

Worth checking your local asian supermarket - mine has 355ml bottles for $9.50. Only lasts me about 2 weeks unfortunately… I've heard it's really cheap at costco but I don't have one nearby and don't want to buy a membership.

    • Was about to head off to buy and wow that's much better deal than well known franchises. Asian markets are the hidden gems!

Oh some of them will give you some "hidden gems" too if you know the right code word…

    • you should try some other chilli sauce, the much hotter ones obviously
      tabasco is too mild

  • Why would someone buy Tabasco in a bottle shop? Im assuming no one will mix that with a case of beer?

there are dozens and dozens of cocktails that use Tabasco.
but yeah it is odd to see.

      Bloody Mary?

    • Try this:
3/4 fill a shot glass with vodka. Add some raspberry syrup. Top with a few drops of tabasco sauce. Slam that baby down.

  • Surprise gem:

    Franks hot sauce @ Woolworths

2.50 for a small bottle on sale. A lot of wings places use it as a base to the basting

    • On sale now?

      • Picked it up 2 days ago. Hopefully still on sale. The stuff is delicious

  • It's the easiest thing to make. Just boil some ground up chili. Add sugar and salt to taste. Simple.

    • You forgot vinegar - I think Tabasco has a loooot of vinegar in it.

      • 90% vinegar

      • Yes. Correct.

It's the easiest thing to make, ridiculously expensive for tiny bottles.
