  • Pretty sweet price. I guess the low price is because it's the gold variant which isn't as popular.

    • Actually, it's probably because the 2nd gen is out (again).

    • -2

Actually it's probably because no one's buying smartwatches.

pretty good price for z5c..Awesum phone

  • I've said it once, and I'll say it again. I have owned the z1, z2, and the z3, and I would NEVER buy a Sony phone that didn't have local warranty support. While it's a pain to send the phone to Fonebiz, they have never stiffed me with any charges!!!

This is a friendly warning for all

I have been dealing with fonebiz twice, they are just authorized to repair or check for many brands, but sony phone itself is a good one, great call quality, photo quality and waterproof, PS LOooong battery.

        ^ This.

The main reason I have a z3 and now a z5 is the battery life. As I also use my phone for work, I don't get battery anxiety and it always lasts at least 1 day after heavy use.

    • Same here - except with me it's that I noticed Sony hasn't fixed hardware issues since the Z1 so screw them, Sony Mobile never again.

  • Never ever a sony for me again.
I quite liked the phone but its the service that made me never

1 month old: push flaps in hard. Friend there watching to test water resistance. Dip in water. Phone is flooded.
Sony replaced the phone. That was great. Very happy

9 months old: usb charger port stops charging. Sent away. Came back in 3 weeks repaired. Happy

10 months old: usb charger port stops working again. Sent away. 5 weeks later still not even an eta. Got told its christ mas and repair shop is closed for 3 weeks. Jb hifi call the repair shop and they are open.
Jb hifi give me rental phone which coincidentally the same model. I eventually get sick of waiting and say look ill keep the rental phone its the same phone and it works.
1 week later: usb port dies again (maybe its me). Fortunately my repaired phone comes back.
Install apps choose settings etc all is good.
1 week later the phone randomly restarts. I ignore it until it starts restarting every 3 hours or so. It would reset the most when taking photos.
Call support. They say format the phone. So i format it. Still resets randomly quite often.

Send phone back and i say just give me a different phone i dont want a new one.just not that one. They say no legally we are allowed to keep on repairing indefinitely.

They analyse it and say they cant replicate the problem but they will format it.

Recirve phone back formatted. Turn it on. Battery on 70%. Phone starts resetting within a minute.

Call support and they blame user error for it

First they blame third party apps. I reply i only had 5 apps that are mainstream eg googlemaps. Get told there is no guarantee on apps.
I format it again and still happening. They then blame my faulty sim card. My reply " i dont even get a chance to put my sim in becuase it doesnt switch on properly.

They keep on trying to blame me somehow when i explain to them its factory formatted by you guys and ive done nothing to it so its not damn user error.

I send it back. They fix it. And send it back to me.
I turn the phone on and its as though they didnt even look at the phone. Phone doesnt stay on for more than 30 seconds.

Complain again to the rude manager in nz. Finally they agree to send me a refurbished model.

I ended up buying a samsung in the meantime which im very happy with. Give the phone to a elderly relative. Has not missed a beat.

    Sony never again
