      • Heaps (over 30+) was @ Masters, Cranbourne (Thompson Rd/ South Gippy) as of 9 AM this morning.

        • Sold out now.

  • None at Canberra airport

  • $99 not $49.

    • +3

      No, $49 is correct.

All sold out in Adelaide. Apparently some people grabbed a fair few and have noticed a lot on eBay now. Masters really should put a limit per customer on these type of bait deals.

    • Lol Masters official eBay store has them for $118.95 delivered and the scalper listings start at $120.

Minus eBay fees and your time/effort they are making around $50, meh. And it's a big if that you will actually sell (only seen 1 sold listing so far).

Got mine home and not impressed. Quality/build wise doesn't stack up to even a Ryobi. A bit noisy and battery change is a pain in the arse.

$49 can't go wrong if you only need it for a few jobs though…

      • +1

I concur, ebay/scalpers/masters pricing - these are ONLY worth $49, in no way do they compare to Makita's/Ryobi's/Dewalts/ etc. They are better than Ozito's though.

  • Sold out in carrum downs, mornington and cranbourne.

If anyone in those areas scored an extra they don't need or changed their mind let me know, i was really hoping to get one of these.

They had heaps of stock of the other kits, hopefully some other ones come up on special soon. This one under $100 would be good: https://www.masters.com.au/product/101550351/triton-xt-18v-d…

  • Anyone know which store has stock in NSW?

  • bought tools from this brand when the other sets were 50% off last month..
after getting this set I'll now have 3 batteries…good thing since they don't last very long and take about 3 or so hrs to charge fully

  • Picked up one of this. Looks great, haven't tried any cutting yet.

On another note, masters staff are hopeless. I asked if they had any skylights and they pointed me towards their fairy lights.

    • do you mind telling which store did you pick this up from and if they had much stock?

  • I cannot find stock in NSW.

For example West Gosford sold out at 10am Sat. I ordered one over the phone at 9:30am (they had 30 left at that time).

      • Wow, they had about a hundred in there at 9AM, shoulda bought two!

  • Includes 1 x scraper blade and 3 x sanding papers…
hmm..did anyone get the 3 sanding papers? mine only came with the scraper blade.

    • Nope scraper blade only as well.

  • +1

    thanks op. got two.

Any chance of a second wave of these OP?

    • +1

      I'll 2nd that request for a second wave :)

The saw is awesome, cut through some 100x100 H4 treated fence posts in one go like a knife through butter!

The multi tool is a bit noisy but seems ok

  • So Masters here in Adelaide let people buy 12 at a time. Seriously unfair and poorly managed by Masters.

Just did all my pre winter garden pruning. The reciprocating saw is amazing. Filled a dual cab ute and 6x4 trailer of cuttings.

Was cutting anything from little twigs to 100mm thick branches. Thing was a beast and only charged it once overnight.

Looking for some replacement saws because i can see myself using this heaps.

    • My envy hurts.

Found a great selection of blades on ebay. Some guy is selling all different types for around $3 each or cheaper for multi pack.

        • I found the wood blade to be pretty good - did exactly what I wanted.

Different story yesterday when I tried using the metal blade (to cut some thin metal while installing a new garage door opener) - it was so useless I had to end up cutting it by hand with a small hand hacksaw.

Even when running the blade without touching the metal, the blade was wiggling side to side like Borat.
When I tried placing it onto the metal, it jumped around all over the place.

Anyone else tried cutting metal with this tool ?

    • Same experience. Great garden saw. Easily got a trailer full of branches off a single charge. Will chop as far as the saw will reach.
Only complaint is the battery takes ~5h to charge as the charger is a crappy 380ma unit. Tempted to buy another.

      • Ive plugged a 500ma charger in. Charges faster
