I had 5 mins to kill and reluctantly strolled into a DSE today. Not much around, but I saw an iPhone 6 16gb $750 and a Huawei Y5 for $70 at DSE Arndale (SA). Half decent price on these two. May get lucky at your local.

Is it honestly worth going into DSE to pick up a bargain?
No
No
Might be worth putting in the title 40% off Telstra Prepaid "Phones"
Purchased an Oppo R7s in factory sealed box on sunday for $370, another 2 were available at Mt Pleasant.
Also been great to talk with and encourage the staff, so far many I've spoken with have jobs lined up.Hi.. Do you mind telling me if both sim in your R7s support 4G (I understand that only 1 can be active at a time)? Thanks heaps!
Both sims on this phone are 4G compatible, sim1 micro & sim2 nano size in dual standby mode.
However, due to a hardware limitation of all (worldwide) currently available chipsets, dual sim phones will not function as such once 2G is turned off by the Telcos.
So when this finally happens I intend using sim2 slot for SD memory storage as designed by Oppo.
For the benefit of all readers, buy with your eyes wide open, there will not be a factory fix. But Oppo like others are well underway with the next generation, but there is no release timeframe.
Personally, my math said: I urgently needed to replace the very aging mobile & getting tired of porting each month to keep 10 digits while taking advantage of cheap prepaid sims like this Dick Smith deal or the recent $1 voda/coles deal.
Considered Xiaomi, but felt frequency coverage was a deal breaker. LG g4 just couldn't get enough reliable info on dual sim models.
The dual sim matter aside, I URGE all to research Oppo, also view the factory walkthru on youtube, you may become as amazed as I.
R7s should now be 35% off or $325 I believe. I haven't been able to find stock anywhere near me.
Went into my local stores recently and all they have is one aisle/shelving unit with a s**t load of $3-4 phone covers on one side and crappy DSE branded RCA cables on the other. The rest of the store was taped off with basically "crime scene" tape as a no go zone.
It is always sad to see a store going under. It has the feel of the Titanic as flotsam is strewn around the place before it sinks to the bottom.
i was surprised that my local DSE was selling the security tags and the spider things that go over boxes!
I couldn't help noticing they have heaps of unused discount labels that seem to max out at 80%.
So I guess we won't be seeing anything higher?
I've notice some c, and d sized rechargable batteries at 80% off. However I don't have anything to use them in or have a charger that can fit them lol… And they are over priced
I went in looking for C sized batteries at my local to replace a few iffy cells in a drill. None there, glad to here they weren't well priced anyway. I did see a heap of watch / car remote / Pulse monitor etc batteries going out for around $1 each. Seems a good price.
