      Amusing.

Sepecification page says: Screen Resolution 800 x 480
      Features page says: 7" touch screen (5 points), 16:9 Widescreen (1024 x 600 pixels)

No doubt a shitty TN panel (goes without saying).

      • It also says…

3 key feature benefits 1) Pre-loaded Google Play Store, eStreet Map and Netflix 2) Fast Quad Core CPU 3) High resolution touch screen

512mb RAM and an Allwiner A33 is another killer.

512MB ram is bigger than 1GB. That's awesome!
          ;)

          eStreet Map

I hope Bruce Springsteen sings the turn-by-turn directions for you.

  • I'd like to buy a white one with 32GB.

Good value to play around with as a media centre/GPS in the car

    • Have you actually tested it? From past history with these cheap tablets, sometimes they can't even handle music (Spotify) without stuttering, let alone video. Don't know how this particular one will perform, though. The A33 isn't that bad.

That would be awesome trick with no gps inside.

$97 Still the best value budget tablet from a major retailer, I feel.

Was recently reduced 'cause of Hardly Normal's $88 deal, but that's over now.

Crappy cameras & no compass but otherwise decent for the money (USB OTG, easily rootable, etc.)

Spend the extra $50.00 and get the - Lenovo Tab 2 A7-20 7" Tablet

    • IMO the market has devolved a bit. My minimal standard is 1,280 x 800 and even then, there's heaps of people here who dont even like that.

600p? Jesus. Besides china tabs there doesnt seem to be a good value brand name quad core 1,280 x 800 7-8" tablet with gps etc.

  • How much are they saving by putting 512MB of RAM in it instead of 2GB? Probably only about 15c… I won't touch anything with less than 2GB RAM nowdays, or you'll find 90% of the apps you want to put on it won't run properly.

    • It's only running Kit-Kat, so I would expect that you can't even run 90% of the apps you want anyway.
