You can use the edit button, to modify your post and add the new details in rather than make additional info via posts. That may appease antman. Maybe after that he might revoke his negative post

        • Sorry for bad cut and paste listing. I should put all information description.

I have can not edit the post it wont allow. please update thank

      • Apology accepted. I will revoke my neg. I dont personally think this is a great deal though as I believe CMC Mag discs have a very poor reputation.

        • Do you mean fake media code MCC ?

This CMC not fake MCC media code please recheck. Those are two different type of product.

Our product is genuine CMC Mag from Taiwan, and if you do an online search Melody brand have been in Australia for quite sometime and receive good feedback.

  • I must be half as sleep at 12:30am last night when I list it :P

  • Pretty average price for DVD-Rs these days. I just bought some Target (Base) branded DVD-R in store for $8 for 50, can't remember if that was special price but don't usually pay too much more for these type of brands.

    • zappy_32, I am sorry but we dont have any Base brand product as we do know their quality is.

I can only compare apple to apple not apple with lemon.

      • All Coles Group DVD own brands (Target's base, Kmart's Audiosonic, etc) are rebadged Imation, which is usually manufactured by CMC (i.e. identical to your Melody DVDs with a different label) or possibly Prodisc (with Fuji or Mitsubishi dye, i.e. not quite as good burner compatibility if your burner is 5 years old, but excellent dye quality).

You're not comparing apples with lemons, you're comparing Granny Smiths with Granny Smiths.

        • What if ? usually ?? guessing 1+1 + 1-1 = 2..

For those want to buy Base feel free to get them from Target.

Amedia Media can only match price if the same brand and specification.

          Thank for your comment anyway.

          • @[Deactivated]: I wasn't asking you to match anything, I was just commenting on your statement that you "do[n't] know what their quality is". OzBargain comments are for discussion of the deal, not just talking to reps.

In any case, B-grade media is B-grade media. If you sell B-grade media and talk it up like top notch media then don't be surprised if someone else says it's an average price for what it is.

            • @lbft: lbft, B Grade? I am sorry but Amedia Disc dont sell B Grade product.

              • @[Deactivated]: It's essentially universally agreed that the best media in the world, what I'd call the A grade stuff, is manufactured in Japan by Taiyo Yuden or in Singapore, Taiwan or India under licence and using dye from Mitsubishi Kagaku Media (by Ritek, CMC, Moser Baer etc to MKM's specs). I'd also add in TDK media actually made by TDK in Taiwan and any disc made in Japan.

What I'd call B grade is the average, everyday use discs, or discs which have good performace in one area and average performance otherwise - the stuff pumped out by CMC Magnetics (good all-rounders), Prodisc (with either Fuji or Mitsubishi dye you've got excellent longevity), Ritek with newer dyes (good for drives fussy about reflectivity)

What I'd call C grade - stuff that's OK for unimportant usage - a small percentage of the media manufactured in China or Hong Kong (e.g. UME), lower quality Taiwan-made discs like Princo

What I'd call D grade - poor quality, to be avoided - Ritek discs with the dye that develops holes (!), anything with a faked media code and the overwhelming majority of the media made in Hong Kong or China.

I'm not saying CMC is bad media (I've got a spindle within arm's reach) but it's not top-notch either. It's also sold under fifteen gazillion different brand names (LG, Memorex, Imation, Shintaro, Audiosonic, base, DSE, TDK, Melody, HP, Philips, Maxell… the list goes on but those are the ones I can remember.) To call it "A Grade Quality" is not something I would consider to be correct. But hey, it's good everyday use media at a reasonable price so go for your life. Just don't be surprised if people compare your prices to other similar quality media :)
