Where do you put the discount code? I think i'm blind D:

    • not there for me

  • works for me..

can't combine with cashrewards. Coupon doesn't work unless you use the specific link on the email

I've never had problems with them. They're very good for Thailand hotels. Sometimes good for other Asian destinations. Looks like you got your refund eventually. I wouldn't be happy going to a non existent hotel!

    • What hotel was that?

I just called the hotel number and it is no longer in use.
I see that the hotel is still taking bookings on through Agoda website and there are new reviews. I checked the Hotel through Baidu maps street view and see that from last year there is apartment building there now….

    • wow… if you read the other reviews after that, there are a lot of terrible ones… based on that, I would probably not book with them, ever.

by that standard you wouldn't be booking with anyone

        productreview ratings:

        Agoda 2.7
        Booking.com 2.0
        Expedia 1.5
        Webjet 1.3
        Hotels.com 1.7

        • I've used hotels combined, but often it has come back cheaper to book directly with the hotel (they even say so themselves!), so it's a matter of shopping around.

        • If booking.com is worse than Agoda, then Agoda must be pretty good, because I've booked dozens of places with booking.com and never had a problem. Fingers crossed a couple I made with Agoda recently will be ok. A lot of products seem to have bad reviews in productreview so I suspect a lot of people go there to vent.

        • @greenpossum:

Booking.com, Agoda and Kayak is all owned by Priceline. Thats why there's a lot of commonality with hotel stock and prices. Customer service may be different.. but really when booking through these websites you NEVER want to deal with customer service. Make sure you know the cancellation policies perfectly well. They don't handle "manual" changes well.

        • @Thrawn: Interesting. Though I find Agoda's procedures not as streamlined as those of booking.com. I guess they are still running under their own procedures.

I've never had to make a change to my itinerary yet so no need to cancel. I suppose it will happen one day.

    • What an absolute nightmare experience!! I have booked with agoda many, many, times. Never had any issues. But i do reseach my accommodation farewell well to minimise disappointment.

Found the link that you will need to get the coupon to display from flyertalk.

    http://www.agoda.com/?CID=1746973

    • Well Done !! Works ! Can now up up up vote the deal!

  • FYI Priceline = Agoda/Booking.com/Kayak and Expedia = Hotels.com/CheapTickets.com/Lastminute/Wotif/Orbitz (so basically there isn't much competition)

Might wanna check the price on the hotel's website first, sometimes 10% off on booking sites can still be more expensive than booking directly.

    • especially if they have say a 15% off advance booking offer.

  • Cheaptickets 20% off might work out cheaper. I've used the code multiple times on the same account too. Might want to be careful if you don't have a 28 Degrees/Zero Platinum/Citibank Plus card though as you'll probably get hit with foreign transaction fees. Also 15% off with Venere:

  • I don't know how they do it, but Agoda manages to list some very cheap hotels in small towns in Thailand - cheaper than you can get them direct. Apply this discount and you pay almost nothing. EG $16 per night 2 persons, Buriram (Bfv), Double bed, including breakfast - 'reasonably ok' rated hotel (Tripadvisor etc)!
Stacked with Airasia sale Bkk - Bfv 196 THB (~$8) each way! And $2 airport - Bfv bus (Per Person).

  • i hvae never found where to enter coupon on agoda

    • Sometimes Agoda pages do not have a coupon code area. Try Gunnie's link above
