If you expect the multi-tasking feature of the T8 Plus to be as refined as the Qslide App of the LG Optimus UI or the phone mode feature on the REMIX OS, you will certainly be disappointed. All apps can be switched to floating windows on the T8 Plus, but not all of them can be usable in windows, some applications just show a small proportion of their interface, and are not really responsive to our tapping. Also, the windows are not resizable at all, making the multi-tasking a less useful feature than it could have been.

My personal verdict — worth looking into but as usual with Cheapo tablets, the battery life is kind of mediocre and there's bound to be a few software issues out of the box.

Obviously you can't compare it to a $400 Samsung tablet for example. The last OTA update was in February so many issues should be fixed since the review.

I literally bought one of these yesterday for $170 after hunting around all the sites including geekbuying. Looks like a great bang for buck and with cellular. I got 5 day shipping, so i will post a review here when it arrives.

    • The cellular looks to be missing a few useful 2G/3G/4G bands.

      • Agreed, but 2100mhz 3g is what my usb dongle supports now with good results, so will work for my uses.

  • $5.02 back from Cashrewards. $174.32 AUD via paypal with faster shipping and a screen protector (none available for the new model but old model is supposedly the same). Hasn't been dispatched yet though…

    Received mine yesterday.
First impressions are good. Well constructed, not much in the way of superfluous apps. Screen is very nice, with a wide format that offers width in same ballpark as an ipad (about 3cm less) so I can use it for reading emagazines, which was a little tight on a 7in Nexus.
Performs snappily. 3G with a Voda SIM in it works faster than my 8Mbps ADSL2+ wifi.
    Very light weight.

Overall, a very capable device at a good price. I'm happy to answer any specifics, if I can.

    • As a follow up, I have been able to get 4G data in and around Sydney on Voda presumably on the B3 band. This is better than I expected, so I am pleased.
