  • Looks quite interesting.
If you have a thin laptop though, the lip that holds the laptop in place may cut into your wrists

    • If you died from the injuries would it be Kogancide?

  • stupid question: this is not a standing desk right?

    • No, it's not. I have one of these (bought via eBay for 25.59), and I use it to place my laptop so that the screen is level with my eyes, while I use a separate USB keyboard and mouse (at wrist-level). So far, so good - it's definitely a worthwhile investment if you're working for extended periods on a laptop. Oh, but I digress, if you're looking for a standing desk, I don't think this is suitable.

      • can this be used on the bed? This is be super awesome

        • the description on the box said it can be used on bed, and volturee (in the comment just below) also said he/she used it with a 2.5 kg laptop on bed, so I guess the answer should be yes, it can probably be used on the bed (assuming it is approximately the same type of model, that is).

U can get the thing from lots of other stores for about $2 extra and skip kogan's awful shipping time. Have 1 of this myself, pretty sturdy with a 2.5kg laptop on bed. If it's the same product as

, u will have a separate mouse pad on the side so your wrist should be safe

  • Would anyone use this for arcade joystick and buttons?
I like sitting on the floor.
Wondering if my legs can slide underneath the stand.
And… if the table will change shape by smashing the buttons (pressure from top down)… sturdy enough?

    Interesting

  • Is it necessary to have the fan ? From photos the Kogan one looks more sturdy but it doesn't have the fan so not sure if the other one suggested by volturee is better, appreciate advice guys !

    • The fan is a nice touch if your laptop does heat up

How much weight would one of these reliably hold? I'm thinking of using one as a monitor stand/riser (on a desk).

edit: this one which looks similar, can hold 15kg (thanks to volturee).

I have one of these with the fans and I would not recommend it as being suitable for a monitor. It would be strong enough but I wouldn't trust the balance / stability of it to anything with such a high centre of mass.
