GoCatch taxis are available in all major Australian cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra, Adelaide, and more.

Sydney-siders have the added option of requesting a GoCar, our new rideshare service with NO surge pricing. Visit our GoCar website to discover a smarter way to rideshare today.

  • So it's like Uber but you have to manually pay at the end of your trip?

Now waiting for the taxi vs uber discussion .

Do they still charge a 5% electronic payment charge?

And is this the one where drivers get to see the trip before accepting (i.e. can decide if a trip is too short etc and just ignore you)? A ll these new players trying to catch up to Uber its hard to keep track

anyone actually used this service before? couldn't imagine it would be better than Uber

Yeah in it's early days, the pr!ck taxi driver wanted to end the trip early on his app and then wanted cash at the end.

Currently an uber driver. Did a quick comparison. Interesting the say there's no surge pricing but during peak times, they don't really mention about the higher base rates.

I've used them. They are better than booking direct. I think they let you know when they are arriving and you can rate them, if my recollection is correct. I'd prefer uber for quality and price, but if I could use this voucher, I'd use them. But only with the voucher.
