Is it worth paying $556 (after discount) for the V6 Absolute over this base V6 model? I have timber flooring.
if you don't have any carpets, then you're better off with just the hardwood head (i think that's the V6 Fluffy package). otherwise, grab the V6 and buy the hardwood head separately.
or just use the V6 animal, that should be fine too (the hardwood head is just slightly better).
i believe:
-fluffy: slightly better for hard floors than V6 animal
-motorhead: slightly better for carpets than V6 animal
-absolute: slightly better for both than V6 animal (includes both heads from fluffy and motorhead), plus includes some sort of extra filter
having said that, people say that even the V6 animal is way better than a normal vacuum cleaner, so V6 animal will probably do the job just fine!

Anyone recommend a good Dyson unit? Already have a V6 Stick. Just need something a bit bigger to clean the whole house etc.

Get a Furminator instead :) These stick vacs are good for quick jobs (short battery life). You still need a proper vac to do a proper job cleaning the whole house.
