For the price yes, it's the Samsung flagship from 2013.
i've seen the S3 and HTC 510 for $149 @ kmart clearance. don't think it's that great a deal though

does anyone know if this is unlocked? the title says optus but it says unlocked in the specs
The Ebay store says the S4 is unlocked 'Item Condition: Brand New Unlocked' - but is did have qualification that if it is locked there may be a $25 unlocking fee..
and the lock status says Network Unlocked, I guess if it comes locked I got a csae I can complain under, and I urge everyone to do the same before paying another fee

Be careful the code worked at checkout but got rejected at last stage of paypal so I thought I would try again from scratch but when I pressed buy it now it just said thank you for your purchase and I had been charged the full price. Very strange

Probably was a slip. Done it myself.
You should always click "Add to Cart" and then fiddle around with coupon codes on the checkout page after that; I think Buy it Now is like committing to buy at the price indicated on the item page (although perhaps you can still put in a coupon code when you're checking out). I'm not entirely sure and I don't want to test myself haha.
Good advice. The first time around I could put in a coupon code and go through paypal. The next time it was a true one click buy it now!

Optus have just canceled my order…. the reason: 'Miscalculation stock'. Just cannot understand how come the seller can cancel the order, while the buyer have obligation once agreed 'Buy it now' price. I emailed Optus back and paste Ebay Regulation regarding seller obligation

Did you get any compensation? I only bought one and I chose this one instead of the countless others with the discount code, and now that that's gone they cancel it. I couldn't even leave a negative feedback either for some reason

I managed to leave negative feedback, a bit fiddly, hidden somewhere. I believe you still can leave a negative feedback. I emailed EBAY and show my dissatisfaction and what a waste of my time. On the email I mentioned that I prefer to use Gumtree recently, since no fees and passive regulator, you just deal with ordinary people. In this case I believe that EBAY try to protect big boy. EBAY said they will collect the proof that the seller does this to many buyer, I replied that EBAY does not need the proof from some victim, EBAY has got the proof on his system, it is just a matter of EBAY really want to solve the problem without favoring to any side. I guess EBAY does not want to loose the fees from the seller. Worse I bought the S4 case from Kogan and arrived yesterday…
so cheap.. would this good as backup phone?.. currently have one backup phone but it is crappy voda touchscreen 3G
