These seem like a pretty good deal. I've been to a few kmarts already and seen them in all stores. You get:

• 1m monopod that twists to lock. I think the material is hard plastic, not the really common metal type which rusts really really easily.
• bluetooth remote attachment.
• universal smartphone holder attachment that has a rubberised strap which wraps around the phone.
• detachable tripod mount which is attached by a gopro-type screw.

Perhaps someone can find an equivalent one on eBay?

Also, I've seen a bluetooth AM/FM boombox which accepts USB and 3.5mm line-in for $29 and a small outdoor antenna for $25 on clearance for those that might be interested. Not on the website unfortunately.

    Can confirm got it to replace my now broken drift monopod for my GoPro in Knox.
    It's a good stead monopod, quite similar to the (now-defunct) drift one.

    I'll find out more when I get to use it in the snow again.

    I just got a dual sim Chinese phone (the brand is "hooteulb") and I'm sure it's got that feature in the specs.
