  problem with this charger is that it always detects the battery as dead
  you need to use paperclip to bring it back to life
  kind of annoy

      if you google, you will find that this charger always mis-detect the battery as dead
      but it's just low voltage, in order to make the battery detectable, you need to use paperclip to short circuit it.

      i didn't know this when i first purchased this charger, and threw so many eneloop batteries that have only been used once or twice.

        Exactly what do you do with the paperclip? Just briefly connect it to both ends of the battery?

        Tried it. It worked. Awesome, thanks mate! I took a good battery and a dead battery and joined the two positive terminals for a few seconds to short it out. That's right, yes? The dead battery is charging fine now it seems.
