Found this at Umart, normally priced at $499. They are Dual Core ION 1.6 with 2gb RAM and 250gb HDD and HDMI 1.3a and They only run at only 20w of power, perfect for always on machine (eg. torrent servers), HTPC or as a second desktop for kids/wife etc.

Maybe this deal should be amended then - it's even better at $275.
Add on Postage at ITSky, and no ability to pick up from Store. It worked out to be $295 from ITSky and a pain to order. I ordered and picked up same day at umart.
I bought one of from ITSky last week - $275 + $15 air freight to Perth. Good little unit, be aware that digital audio out is only via HDMI, Asrock N330 also has an optical digital audio out…
HDMI audio is better than otpical as it supports DTS-HD and True-HD. The Asrock unit is nice, but costs more and runs at 38w for the same processor.
What's the difference between HDMI 1.3a and 1.3b?
1.3b implemented stricter compliance standards for the manufacturer
Can this be mounted on the back of a monitor? Like a VESA 75 or 100 mount.
Unforunately no vesa mount as far as i know of, but would be interested if anyone knows of something that could be used for that.
Would this be able to play back 1080p mkv bluray rips? Too hopeful?
Its a dual core Atom ION n330 it has performance to play back blu-ray 1080P and can play mkv perfectly. Only thing I have yet to test is multiple tv recording as not yet got a usb tuner.
How would you go about accessing media? For example, if you have 3-4 TB of movies etc. Would you access it via a NAS over a network? Or use simple USB attached storage? eSATA?
USB or Network storage, as no e-sata. You can upgrade hdd to up to 500gb 2.5
Do some research
