wow Microsoft's really handing out free anime wonder what they're trying to do. Build up account numbers maybe?

note there are only first 3 episodes of each, so their intention would be give you a taste and you can buy the rest episodes from them.

maybe they will do Dallas Buyers Club next.

I'm even noticing that on Microsoft gold, more of the free games promote DLC and in app purchases …. the cancerous pay to win is creeping from IOS and Android to consoles.

DBC was on FTA TV this week. Copied it to PVR - no fun police emails yet.

They have a promo running with their rewards, odds are this is off the back of the TV and Movie sale they did recently however now its with Funimations or something along that line (One of the Anime ones to push Anime into the western market)

      • If you go to the main page of movies & tv in the store and scroll down you will see it is anime month and they are having sales on a large number of series and movies. I wouldn't recommend buying anything though because the quality is not great and dubbed/subbed are separate purchases rather than something you can switch between.

        • Would I be correct in assuming that unless it says (Dubbed) in the title, despite the language saying English, the majority of the animes are just English subbed?

        • @Ventak: Yeah but it's weird because some of them have got dual language so it must be some crazy licensing thing that they have to split some series but not others. Just goto the store page for the anime you see and it will list the audio languages and subtitle languages.

Just a heads up, the FMA movie, the conqueror of shamballa is actually just the final feature length episode of the original series.
I do not advise watching it on its own without watching FMA first. Not only will it not make a lot of sense, you will also be spoiling the end of FMA if you have never seen it.

Thank you ! Keep these up

    Recommend Death Note

    • +1

I second that. Not much of an anime guy (only like a handful) but Death Note is great and a must see.

2nd half is crap. It felt like it was done so that the main protagonist could lose.

But I'll still watch that over any Australian produced crap

    • I agree too. Death Note is a great story based anime that even non-anime fans would enjoy.

  • Thanks mate, got them all!!

  • Thanks for this OP

Good to add some more to the list :)

  • wow just looking from $71 down to $15 not sure if price error or good discount

This is just a free 48 hour video rental, you don't get to keep the movie. So i hope you peoples realise that.

  • Great movie! I think the original series was superior and this movie was amazing as an ending.

As others above have said, DO NOT watch this without having seen the original series first as this is canon and completes the original series.
