Aussie $ has gone south since then…

Try buying a genuine HP toner… They were around $90, now $160

Funny how when the Aussee $ goes up the prices dont tumble down….

  • I dont know how it works but should this post be marked referral?

    • There's no referral link…

Futu online sends out the hard drives in a large box with no padding at all. I am not very happy.

    • Received my Netgear R7000 I ordered from Futu during eBay's 20% off sale and it was also delivered in a regular box, no padding.

They aren't the only ones. I have had all sorts of parts (including an unpackaged slim Blu-ray drive and PCI card shipped together loose in a box) from numerous Australian and International tech companies. This is why I can't get excited about buying drives $20 cheaper from Amazon. I can't see the value if you are unlucky enough to get them shipped like that.

        • The wd red 4tb I got from Amazon was packed in a box similar to a retail box which is quite secure.

I agree that the Aussie retailer just ship them in their anti static bag and not secure them properly.

        • @kaal: Thanks but aren't some Amazon purchases from various secondary suppliers? It's been a long time since I bought tech from them and even then they were loosely packed from a secondary supplier which I had to buy using a mail forwarding company.

@bigpallooka: not too sure as I've only bought a few items from Amazon directly.

  • That's great. Just bought one. Thanks heaps.
